He was in no position to know the "truth". He was hunkered down in a hotel room crawling around the floor saying "wow look at the explosion" during the night. During the day he was escorted around by Iraqi government officials.

He had no way to "know the truth". The guys an idiot and from his apology and his excuse for why he said what said proves it.

If he really believed the bs he espoused why hasnt he defend it? He hasnt he admits it was stupid stated it "was an impromptu interview" and he had thought over what he was about to say. There was no conviction in his sniveling.

He has been hired -by the British anti-war "newspaper", The Daily Mirror.

The Mirror's version of the story is here.

Yeah, that's it towd.

It had nothing to do with a viewing audience pissed off at him encouraging the Iraqis to fight harder at all, instead it's part of the grand conspiracy.

No he was fired for allowning himself to be used as a propaganda tool by the Iraqi military, he was interviewd by a military official on iraqi state TV. But of course that really doesnt matter to you since you want the iraqis to win and kill americans.

Getting fired for pissing off the viewing audience of a media powerhouse is hardly equated to not supporting an "aggressive illegal war".  What war isn't aggressive?  What makes this war illegal?

And he was hired by a crap anti war rag.   Like going from a Jag to a pinto.

The first thing he did after getting rehired was to recant his apology.

Next he'll find Coalition troops using Sarin in the Baghdad suburbs.

MiniD has it nailed. Tells you everything you need to know about the guy. If he looked us all right in the eye on TV and says "I did not have doggie sex with that Iraqi" and then recants it the next day............

Yes, he does have a past.

Check out his reporting on Operation Tailwind.

Then check out the truthfulness of that charge.

I believe you'll find he changed. Or else he was always a lying sack that had one moment of glory.

You make the call.
