If the US Marines had tried to play, not only would they have insisted on wearing full kevlar body armour and helmet, but they probably would have dropped a LGB on the whole proceedings or machinegunned half the players and spectators in an 'unavoidable' friendly fire incident.

I'm actually surprised an A-10 didn't come along and liven things up a bit.

See, actually that Marines' wrist was broken during a real hard tackle by an Iraqi and he carried on playing anyway cos British Royal Marines are that hard.

comon wasnt the fact the marines had forced marched 200 miles and played with a pack of 80lbs in weight on their backs a contributing factor to the score? plus we let them win of course for PR reasons

there was a small game of American football at the village and the US marines decided to call it the 'World Cup American football challenge' but it seems they won by default due to the fact only american teams were accepted in their "WORLD" league

hehe it always cracks me up how you yanks call it a world game when only 2 or 3 other countries even play it, be it US football or whatever else you guys make up

what id like to have seen would be a rugby match

damn it would have been worse than the actual war footage

Somehow, I'm totally missing the humor in the above statement.
