Nuke, think about this, ,we came very close to joining the 418th hornets. in fact Davidd did join them for a time. They are a great squad, but there is no way I could stomach their politics. Davidd quickly jumped when he learned of their politics as well. Slowhand, Sir Loin, Thrawn are all in this squad. Can you imagine?

No418 has no political affilliation...It is open to anyone from any country who wants to join...

Sir loin, of course your squad has no political affiliations. Like I said, it's a grand squad. However, Davidd, Nuke and myself are somewhat right of center. Some of your guys, yourself included, are so left as to seem alien to me. Now, I respect your right to have an opinion other than mine, even if it seems ludicrous to me but I simply cannot imagine socializing w/ a group who's views are so radically different, even dangerous imho, to mine.

I can't say I've noticed any major political differences - we're all entitled to our views and whatever is written within this BBS stays HERE; we don't take it to the squad or while we're playing, we fly as a team. So when you say that you nearly 'joined' our squad, it wouldn't have made any difference, unless you hold a grudge against such people. I may have a few opinions different to a couple of other squaddies but singling 3 or 4 members out of 40+ that are in the Hornets is somewhat ridiculous.

I work at a RAF base, many friends are in the middle east. The way I see the war is that Blair/Bush were acting on information about WMD and the non compliance of the 1991/2002/2003 resolutions.

Anything I post I do for my own reasons and is no way a reflection on the 418 (Hornets) as a squad or the opinions of other members. I haven't had the previledge of fly with the Hornets for some time now. But when I did, my opinions as stated on this BBS stayed here.

and why should you dislike someone because of their opinions steve? just because they hold different beliefs why should that make u stop socialising with them? surely it would be a good idea to talk to them and understand their views?
