Why I am a Bishop :)
« on: May 13, 2003, 11:14:10 AM »
Wish I could say that I am a bishop by choice, but that wouldn't really be true. The true reason requires a bit of a lecture in RTR's theories of evolution;)
Now back in the old days (say roughly 40,000 yaers ago) there were 2 fairly dominant species of hominid. The Neanderthal being the more unfortunate of the two. Now Neanderthals were very close to Homo Sapiens Sapiens genetically, and it is entirely possible that there was some cross breeding going on there. (although  many anthropologists will argue against, many will argue for). However, eventually Neanderthal was to die out and all remnants of his/her genetics have long since dissappeared.
Which brings me to the real point here.
We have in our midst a very close relative. The Chimpanzee (only one chromosome difference folks). Now, it only makes sense that somewhere along the line during a drunken spree, something terrible happened.
So...I am not pointing fingers here, but these phrases  "altitude monkey",  "ACK monkey" etc must have had an origin.:D
Now, with all this "evidence", and the fact that I have never met a Bishop who had scabs on his/her knuckles, or whose toes curled inwards, or who complained of a bad case of "monkey butt" after a night of debauchery, I must conclude through "sound reasoning" that Knits and Rooks have a bit of Chimp in'em.:p
So you see folks, its not a matter of what I want to be, its a matter of being what I have to be, (what I can only be), because of genetics.
Somedays I really wish I could be a Knit or Rook ( I really do like bananas), but  alas, it was just never meant to be.:(

Cheers :)

:D :D :D

This is funny but ur simply WRONG!!!
Knits are Bonobos, not  Chimps!!!

Plz read this:

"Bonobo Sex and Society

The species is best characterized as female-centered and egalitarian and as one that substitutes sex for aggression. Whereas in most other species sexual behavior is a fairly distinct category, in the bonobo it is part and parcel of social relations--and not just between males and females. Bonobos engage in sex in virtually every partner combination (although such contact among close family members may be suppressed). And sexual interactions occur more often among bonobos than among other primates. "

Aahhh, bishops. Always poor aiming. Look at the shoot they take to justify their habits. Look, you don't have to be ashamed of sheep shaging, I guess it's in your nature....talking about weird genetics, of course   :D

Just as I suspected.  They've been using the 'Sheep' as a decoy to keep us from the truth.  Bad, bad boys....

Let me start by saying that I wish I could say I am Rook (or Knit) by choice...fortunately, I haven't had to make mine.

Especially on seeing habits and behaviours, and likeing bananas myself, I thought I'd liked to be closer to the biped species than being some small, furry quadruped.

Mind you, not that I have nothing against rodents, one animal has to be what one animal have to be, but considering merits of each specie, I think my choice is closer to apes.

Merits aside, there is another thing to consider: being a freedom loving type of guy, sometimes closer to anarchist, being Rook comes only naturally. I guess for hoarde-behaviour kinda guys the option is obvious, too.  :D

It is crystal clear what are respective behaviours in MA, numbers and tactics wise. So I won't ellaborate more on the matter. I think even rodents can understand this, let alone apes.

Notwithstanding what's previously said, I have to admit that large groups have their advantages:no matter how poor the individual skills are, you have a warm sense of security, generaly based on the wrong assumption that your individual probabilities of being killed are smaller than being alone. I say wrong because on certain animal species, the groups are killed to their last individuals. So their individual probabilities equal to the group's one.

Generally speaking, one can tend to agree that being a monkey is a bad thing. But when you dig only a bit, and you see the choices available, maybe is not that bad, after all.

So, if you ask me, I'm rather comfortable assuming my ape condition. When you learn some ACM and see what's the vector that rules the combat, you will see what I'm talking about.
