My faves, in no particular order;

1. The Blue Max

2. 12 O'Clock High

3. Pearl Harbor (this movie could have been the shiznitz but was a typical 'hollywood' corruption of realism)

4. Battle Of Britain

5. Piece Of Cake, BBS mini-series.

I'd say Battle of Britian for sure. using a real JU88 in a film, groovin.

Memphis Belle was good too

Memphis Belle has to be the most realistic. Even though the mission in the movie was fake, everything that happened on it was real.

I still laugh when I think about that 70+ year old Japanese World War II veteran ramming his plane into that cargo plane. Louis Gosset JR should be embarrassed for making that movie.

The best war movie ever was "Final Countdown". I recomend it highly, buy the DVD.

Deep Blue World kicks butt on most listed here.
Midway was also a good one.
Empire of the sun had some decent P-51 and zeke shots... with one very incredible scene.
Blue Max was a good movie with some decent scenes too... but it was just good.
