Beyond the descriptions of the openings, I'll not speculate or hint at any intentions. Fair enough?

I think it's ok to describe what is going on in a general sense, especially since most everyone can see for themselves what is happening.

Vadr does a good job over on AGW of giving a brief description on what is happening on each front, and will ask the question which is on everyone's mind. It's very entertaining stuff when the Master throws in a little analysis.

Guess I should add... I've glossed over the mail, but I've yet to start keeping notes and comparing what was said with what was ordered.

Cool!  Thine efforts are appreciated!  ;)

I once played many years (20+?) ago when we had a "Newspaper" run by an observer (not the master).  He would circulate brief reports of movements and then give editorials about what it meant and what players had told him, sort of making him a public opinion tool.  But, that got out of hand because players would bribe him wth food and beer to give false information,    i.e. that is an anti-russian move, to cover up and anti-german move, etc.  That's where I got the idea that the observer's thoguhts, as opposed to objectively observed facts, can skew things artificially.  Come to think of it, that's when I started distrusting the media, too!  :D

Just wanna make sure I understand the deadlines...

" Next move on 6/26!"

Are the deadlines at midnight? For eg, the deadline 6/26 is on or before 11:59 pm Thursday night?

or...

are deadlines by the date mentioned. In other words have your move submitted before 6/26 which means Wednesday (midnight)?

The current deadline says 06261640. At the bottom of the game screen, it states that the deadline is 1 day, 15 hours and some change away.

According to my math... that's about 9:40 AM my time so I can safely assume that the time listed is GMT. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the DPJudge is GMT, but for the life of me, I can't find the page.

Oh man...if only we mere mortals could peer into the line of thought that led mr Nash to that conclusion...

"And then we must deduct 20 minutes in honor of the Hebrew God..."

hehe really?

Look at the number: 06261640

It's just a guess but....

06 is the month

26 is the day

1640 is the time (military) which translates to 4:20. Probably GMT.

er... I'm not crazy am I? You've got me paranoid alluhvasudden. :)
