I have no problem with legalizing pot. If more people smoked it there would be less competion for me. there would be more amusing pratfalls to watch but...

make it subject to the same laws as booze... no loaded in public and a DUI for any in your system while driving.

Fact is MJ does not impair your judgement and driveing ability as does liquor. You can't give breathalizer for smokeing. Public intoxication HA!!, you gonna leave that judgement call to a cop? Good that you support it, but don't belive all that "It's not as harmless as we thought" propaganda. (like the one where this chick get knocked up ...or they say it has as much cancer causeing tar as 4 cig's [like most people smoke THAT much weed]) or where the morons speed out a drivethrough and hit a little girl on a bike. Would that commercial work on you if they had a cell phone in thier hand?

Used to blaze on my way home from work all the time, never got in a wrek even in 8 lanes at rush hour .... in construction zones, etc, etc... this while talking on my cell phone

Oh and don't drink Snapple .. they support anti-cannibis lobbying, boycott thier tulips ... if most people knew that, bet they'd be bankrupt

Manedew, smoking certainey DOES impair your ability to drive. I have done it and it was certainly not as easy as driving straight.

And saying it doesnt impair you as much or in the same way as alcohol is irrelevant.

You are right in saying their isnt a breathalyzer for MJ but there are other way to find out if you are impaired by the use of drugs. (eg. the "lollipop".)

Smoking up while driving and not hitting or killing someone is not proof that MJ does not impare your judgement, it is a proof that you have horseshoes up your ass.

smaking pot does indeed impair your ability to drive or perform any task. I smoked pot for maybe 10 years. I recall one time waiting for the light to turn red so that I could go.

I find "huh?" offenssive. we have enough stupid people without a bunch of potheads in public. Potheads think they are witty just like drunks think they are smart. both need to stay out of my face.

drunk in public... is annoying... giggling idiot potheads in public is annoying... potheads driving is dangerous. They need to get DUI's.

Other than that.... knock yourself out.

You should note I didn't say it dosen't impair your ability ... just that it's nowhere near what acohol does. Personally I think people on some legal perscription drugs are more dangrous.....

the point is you can't test it.... and trusting cop's on judgement calls is not a good thing IMHO ; Cops with power is a bad thing... I'm aginst giveing them anymore .... They aren't judges on wheels... this is really my point coupled with the fact that pot is proably alot safer than the legal liquor limit in most states.

I'm just worried about the affects bad cops, "pigs", have on our society .. and laws that let cops make judgement calls are just downright wrong .... most pigs I've met are redneck loser's, not like city cops... by what you say about "public intoxcation" .. you seem to support this idea .... don't mean to pull this off topic, but think about the implications of what your saying.

You saying you don't want to see drunks in public ...how is that your right? Who makes the judgement call on weather your "drunk" or "stoned"? maybe you see the problem now .... and maybe some will understand why alot of my generation HATE pigs and cops alike. Maybe some will understand why a song 'copkilla' was hit when I was a teen. It's not good for the people or the officers.... don't support laws like that, unless you understand what it brings... (note: don't mean to say the song was about this BS, just what feelings these laws lead too)

edit: I also feel comments about 'witty' potheads in your face highlights the orginal post well.... these aren't the productive members of society that smoke ... these may-be mentaly unbalanced people that happen to also smoke weed.... we have them all over VT

i dont care if some one smokes tobaco or pot,,but tabaco is way more lethal,,,and alcohall hands down kills more people a year than anything,,,more than guns,,more than cancer and aids put together,,,,{most}people on this board are happy to drink up a beer,,heck most everyone i know,, i drink once and a while,,but does that make us better than a pot smoker?,,,i guess not if you notice the kill ratio by alcohall and effects it has on your mind long term and short,,plus liver damage,,hepititus,,and many othere problems,,,think most people are just brain washed into beleving just because its illegal,,its bad!!,,not allways the truth,,but seems like they been spending alot of money and over 40 years tring to prove its bad,,,,,but we can all see the bad in alcohall right away with out 40 years of testing

i dont smoke cigs or pot,,but i can see threw all the hype<~~i would ride any day in a car with a dope head than some one thats drunk,,atleast dope heads drive good because there afraid of being pulled over,,lol if it makes them feal better and aint going to kill them,,let them have it

A cop can't really tell if a person is drunk or not till he tests em. the same would go for the dim witted red eyed guy he just pulled over that smelled like a burning trash pile.
