Some more:
  • "could of", instead of could have.
  • "cannons". When will these handsomehunkes realise that the plural of cannon is the same word - cannon. There is no such word as "cannons".

I hate when people try to decide what is and  what is not racist for other people. Only the individual him/herself can decide what is racist to said individual.  What's worse, someone who tries to define something as not being racist, when that person isn't even of the same race being slighted.  How the hell would that person know?

Wow... I had no idea of that one.

Steve: I always thought "racisim" involved, like, biology... genetics... that kind of thing. It strikes me that you're accusing someone of racism incorrectly... If the French and Americans have a dispute, it aint about racism I don't think. That makes no sense to me.

I'm not trying to make sense to you, Nash.  You pretty much argue and disagree w/ about anything I say, why in God's name would I try to help you?

Beet1e, are you certain about the cannon/cannons thing?
I'm not 100% certain myself, but I believe either is acceptable.

Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural cannons or cannon
Etymology: Middle French canon, from Italian cannone, literally, large tube, augmentative of canna reed, tube, from Latin, cane, reed -- more at CANE
Date: 15th century

Two observations here;

1)  How come we haven't heard from Brady yet?

2)  If I see "prolly" instead of "probably" one more time...

And if you think the BBS is bad, have you seen some of those yahoo chatrooms?  Ebonics is the King's english compared to what I used to see in there.

Brady, where are you?

Merriam-Webster begs to differ:

Main Entry: 1can·non
Pronunciation: 'ka-n&n
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural cannons or cannon

Merriam-Webster = American?  Hmmm...

Oxford ENGLISH dictionary gives plural as cannon, not cannons. In fact it makes special mention of that.

That should have been unaffected, not uneffected. The Merriam Webster doesn't seem to be teaching you much. Maybe you need to study a bit more?  :D
