Aren't there enough crappy half-finished games centered around 1940 ETO?

just saw this too on the total sims bob website:

Quote
Over 72 airplanes, 15 tanks and ground vehicles, ships and aircraft carriers, and many of the important artillery pieces of the period.

I would love to see which types they reffering to when they say "over 72 airplanes"  in a game set on the 1940-41 time frame.

let me guess... could this be the original 72 airplanes already in the WB3 program ? like the Ki61, Ki-43, F4U, P-51D & Fw190D ?

All those that have nothing to do with the bob...

True it doesn't jive with a realistic BoB.   But it does with "WB:1942"  !!  ;)

I can only offer my sympathy to those who are still sticking with iEN and wb3.

While I can offer a figurative slap around the chops for anyone who would consider supporting this incompetent degenerate of a man. Why on earth would anyone give money to this idiot is beyond me.

Uhg.  I bought this Civil War game with the History Channel logo on it.  Worst piece of crap ever.  I thought since I had seen Sid Meier's Gettysburg years ago, they could have improved on the size and scale of a game like that.  They didn't even come close to that scale.  The History Channel logo on a game now means to me it will probably suck.

EDIT:  Hey, what do you know, I just looked at the cd and it carries the Activision name too.

If you've made the game right, you don't need any logo on it. It will sell itself. Games are sold by word of mouth and reviews if they are good, and logos and flashy advertising if the suck.

If you are trying to attrack new customers, the right marketing does wonders. My guess is that they are attempting to grab people who didn't walk into wal-mart looking for a flight simulator.

Now, after they log on and play for a while, hopefully they will end up over here in AH lol.

Probably because it took four posts for WBers to do exactly that where they can speak freely, on a.g.w. (and the first three were mainly "I can't think of anything civil to say" hehe)

Also apparently the ETO volunteer team says their terrain is not the one to be used in this box, FWIW.

viff, you know your comment regarding the player-made terrain being used for BoB is incorrect.   WBs and iEN has lots of problems, there's no need to fabricate more. :)

And... I'm surprised AH players even know what a Ki-43 looks like. :p

Anyway, from what I can tell, it looks like a spitfire in the image, not a Ki-61.  I don't fly dweebfires so what the hell do I know?

Fear not, WB haters, in due time you might just get your wish.  :)
