You believe humans and animals are equal? Okay, which animals are you speaking of? Are houseflies lives equal to that of whales? If not, why not?

Yes, they are equal. You can kill a housefly, just as you can kill a whale. Kill a housefly with a fly swatter, you wont be arrested. Kill a sperm whale, same thing, you wont be arrested. The only time you will be arrested for killing an animal is if a.) they are a protected species like the Blue Whale. No flies are protected I don't think, but there are some insects which are like certain species of rare butterfly, for example. b.) Social animals, or "pets" are protected by law. So yes, all animals are considered equal, except for humans.

Dunno if I would classify an insect as an "animal"....it is an "insect".

There was a web page around a year or two ago that would show you how to make a "FLY" plane...have you guys seen this?

Basically these guys would capture six flys.  They would put them in a glass and put them in the fridge.  After about five minutes they would remove the glass and dump out the flys which would lay still because they are cold blooded and the cold air of the fridge was just enough to calm them down.  Then these idiots would superglue the bottom part of the fly to a popsicle stick, all facing the same way, and then use that as the wing of the "aircraft".  They would then fashion a fuselage out of another stick and add a tail to it.  When the flies warmed up they became active and the plane would lift off....literally.....

Strange world we live in......
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

Don't kid yourself Hb, I have no remorse if I killed an animal in self-defense (which would be most likely a bear or a pitbull). I would make sure it didn't suffer, but I would kill something in defense of myself or someone else.

Of course, I haven't gone hunting or won't go hunting- simply no reason for me to. I don't like the taste of deer (veal/venison) or any other wild animal. I like cows, but since I already have someone slaughtering them for me and packaging them there's no need for me to go hunting for cows or chickens. ;-)

If I were in the wilderness and had no other means to get food, yes I would go hunting. It's a matter of survival.

Cutting a dog's legs off, or breaking an animal's legs or whatever- just for the hell of it, that's where it goes from need to sickness. And someone who's demented upstairs isn't on the same plane as human. They can't behave, operate or control themselves like most humans- they are sub-human and therefore do not deserve to live. (note: I'm talking about someone who kills, maims or otherwise injures someone or something else just for the hell of it) They are on the same level as rapists and murderers. That alone gives me all the justification I need to not give it a second thought about putting an end to their life- or at the very least insuring the pain/suffering they inflicted on someone or something else they must live with for the rest of their life in their padded cell.
