AH vs WB duel, round 2

FD my point was the duel was scheduled for

Warbirds, Round 3 & 4:
3pm Eastern, Saturday August the 9th:

And i would imagine thats when our guys had indicated they could fly and signed up.

Then from what i can see on the 9th a post appears saying its on the 10th at 9pm instead of 3pm.

That change will have prevented some guys attending who originally said they could and hence left us scratching around to fill spots at the last second and 4 guys having to download the game to fill in.

So lack of configuration and attendance has more to do with late changes in schedule and to say they did not take it seriously i feel is a bit much.

Perhaps the answer would have been to reschedule a week later as you seem to say was offered, but would the AH players have been required to offer their credit cards for sacrifice by then ?
(I have no idea of IEN's payment requirements)

As for bad blood why would that happen ?

Personally it will be a cold day in hell before you see me in WB or any associated games but thats not a comment on the WB players as you can well guess.

As for WldThing I guess its gonna be kinda hard to find a trainer amongst the 15 online having fun or mebbe they just dont like him ;)

Guys, I started this thread to the AH duellers, not so people can post digs on AH or WB or whatever.  Please start your own thread if you wish to continue.

If you weren't involved in the duel, sorry you missed some fun.  I hope there's another round of duels in the future. (As in a completely new round of duels, not Round 5)

cavalier, that's a breakdown of the communications on AH side. WB pilots have a mailing list set up that so active that i think my spam catcher will soon start detecting it ;)
It's up to AH organizers to make sure people are informed.

Nash, i fly both games. While you are more likely to find me in WB then AH those days that has more to do with my squadron rather then game preference. I refuse to get into us/them crap shoots and it really pisses me off when people insist on pissing contests. This is a one big community, we have same interests and slightly different tastes. Personal perference ain't a good reason to fling **** at one another.

I'll fly for WB team in last fight if they have me because by default they will be underdogs. But i could fly for either if there is such need.

In round 3 it was 10 vs 8?
In round 4 it was 8 vs 7-6?

Just curious...

Was like this; we had 2 no-shows, so fd-ski joined us making our team 9.

In round 1, we basically lost 2 of that 9 in-flight.

In round 2, we had 8 for the duration.

Not sure what the WBers numbers were each round.

I'm only answering because this has been asked quite a bit... It's got *nothing* to do with any excuses whatsoever.

Embarrassing for the AH crowd indeed.

Good for the WBS’s  that showed up after the AH round asswhippin and didn’t have these lame excuses. Looks like they practiced and beat you guys hands down because of it. That was part of the contest I assume.

These excuses are pitiful.

Also during that round Levi's wife started yelling at him. He asked if he could auger and fend her off and I didn't want to be responsible for a homicide, so I let him go.

Had I known that, I’d a volunteered. If my wife could get through the locked computer office door, I’d a told her where the kitchen was, quicker than Levi and Nath could have embarrassed AH more in the films posted dogfighting eachother and saying “ No one jumps Todd and Nath” when AH was ahead and the last few WBS guys attacked them.

Nash said it was going down too quick though, give him that.

Hmm... Not sure I can argue with ya, now that I think about it. Though nobody's saying that our lack of preparedness and weak turnout was anyone's fault but our own. Least that I've seen - and if so they'd be dead wrong. Beyond that, I aint gonna bite. :)

Wish ya *did* volunteer...

Nash I think the rules were discoes may not replaned.

We lost one during the first fight (kekule)

Maniac, I want to keep adding trim until I release the trimkey.
(Im going to wear out my keys if I need to repeat the pressing)

Peter.

LOL I'm sorry you felt embarrassed for AH by something someone says in the middle of a fast and furious fight.  Perhaps a long walk on the beach is in order for you?

WBers, great showing on your own turf!  I honestly wish I could have stuck around for the second round, but c'est la vie.  You cleaned our clocks wonderfully on that first duel, no doubt about it.  Fun stuff!

it does add trim until you release the key, unless you have cougar and didn't program in a /h or something similar for other sticks.
