No accomplishment or award can prevent one from being a complete ass.  Franken is proof.

Yeah, This Week with David Brinkley always was a great showcase for stand-up. John McLaughlin always books comedians on his panel as well. I'm sure he slipped in some humor. Face it, Al Franken's big giant brain is jammed with knowledge, he IS a Harvard Grad. Too bad he's not running for Governor of California, I'd love to see a debate between him and The Republicans new poster boy Ah-nolt....Al Franken would crush him. :D
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Gallagher is running, and he is way funnier than Franken.

I can see it now.  A debate between Ahhh-nolt and extrahunk err....Franken.

Franken makes some jackazz comment about Ahh-nolts sub human lineage and Ahh-nolt reaches over, grabbing Franken by his mask and with a single hand wads up the whole man like a peice of toilet paper and throws him into the trash saying.....you guessed it:  Shaddup deekwaud.

Thats Exactly wat kalifornia needs.  A serious donut whooping.

BLITZER: One quick question. You know, candy that all of us like "Good and Plenty."

TOOBIN: Right.

BLITZER: They have a trademark for that.

TOOBIN: Absolutely.

BLITZER: We just can't go out and call ourselves good and plenty, can we?

TOOBIN: You can start calling your show good and plenty if you like. You just can't call your candy good and plenty, so keep that in mind, Wolf, for your candy.

BLITZER: Well, one important note, our producers did call FOX.

TOOBIN: I called. We all tried.

BLITZER: And we asked for some reaction and we got nothing.

TOOBIN: You know why because we're fair and balanced. Come after me, go ahead.

BLITZER: Jeffrey Toobin on the edge with us here tonight.

TOOBIN: Absolutely.

BLITZER: Thanks very much, Jeff.

TOOBIN: OK.

Vertura campaigned to return a tax overpayment from the citizens of Minnesota to the state that the state govt was trying to keep.

The citizens got their money back on Ventura's watch.

A politician that kept his promise.  Yeah, he was terrible.  I wish more were.

that's nothing. CA Davis blew the surplus and then put us in a hole 38 billion deep. Can you beat that?
