Light hearted thread for a change...

When I was in 7th and 8th grade I went to a private school.  I had a friend there from Calgary, Canada.  Scott was cool maaan,  we started a band which started me on my 20 year music cough *career* cough.  I'll never forget how he learned about fire ants.  We were outside at recess and I kicked over an ant bed.  Thousands of them were scurrying about.  Scott had never seen anything like this and though it was the coolest thing ever.  So,  he bent down and picked some of it up in his hand.  Oh the look of stunned realisation on his face, when he realized why I was yelling at him not to do it while he did it. :lol :rofl

 Here's my question...

Where you live, do you have

1. Bee's
2. Wasp's/Hornet's/Yellow Jacket's
3. Fireants
4. Scorpion's
5. Deadly Spider's (Brown Recluse/Black Widow types)
6. Rattle Snake's

All of those I have either had in my home or know somebody who has had them in their homes, except for the rattle snake's.  I do know people and have a relative that have been bitten by rattler's though.

We don't have fireants, but we have all the other crap, plus 6" biting centipedes and tarantulas.  :)

Yes we have an overpopulation of leetchus liberalis.  They slowly drain the life out of the victim.

Down in Aus:
Not sure about Fireants and Scorpians but we have everywhere else beaten hands down for venemous spiders and snakes. Always nice to have Funnelwebs, Redbacks and Taipans in the garden.

We have all of those except for the spiders and snakes. But the ones we do have are twice angry and agressive for some reason. Maybe the heat, or maybe they are RACIST

Pei, why did you leave the states?

Basically I got bored and felt it was time for something new. I'd been there 4.5 years afterall.

We have bees..and dogs...and dogs that have bees coming out of their mouths!

;)

Nah...no real poisonous or dangerous stuff here at all.

On land.

The ocean is full of stuff you need to be careful about.

We chatted about this at the 2002 Con...freaked me out about you having to watch out for spiders and snakes.:)
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain
