I was in the area of a base take, flying a good waiting for word to come in and drop. BOPs had the base capped and ready. In comes a set of enemy B17's low (in the days of dot dar only), crosses the field on its way to my C47 as I was flying near some terrain. B17's pass over right to left perpendicular to my route, ball turrets blazing toward my goon, and proceeds to slam himself into the mountain side without even so much as a scratch on me.

3 victories in a C47 plus base capture.

I was 31 when I got hooked on AH. Been in and out of here a few times since then. 51 now, and suck even worse in fighters. Kind of lack the energy and responsiveness for that kind of excitement now. Bombers were my thing back years ago, and even more-so now with the long-haul strat missions and such. Still plenty of shoot-em up to be had..

Stop playing some type of victim, you do gamey  💩 every day. It’s a game, go outside and get some Vitamin D for God’s sake.

Things actually continue to happen in Aces High when you’re not present, believe it.

 
 

Your concern for my Vitamin D levels is touching. I’ll be sure to step outside and ponder the deep complexities of your in-game strategies while basking in the sunlight. As for the game, I’m glad to hear it continues without my omnipresent influence. Who knew the digital world didn’t revolve around me?

Its crazy coming back to this community and seeing that almost nothing has changed, also that my login still works! My old squad is long gone (MAW) but plenty of familiar names remain.
Its crazy to think that back when I made this account I was only 12 years old, loving AH for days and thinking it couldn't get any better than this. Now I'm 35 coming back here wondering where the heck that youth went haha, two kids and a wife and it's been over a decade since I've played. Crazy indeed. Thank you for the awesome memories all.

if it has anything to do with comcast, they throttle downloads!

Its xfinity, but 1.9g file from BigR only took 2-3 min.
In AH a 300mb terrain took the same time.

I got everything, it took time I had to spare. Won’t need it again. Was thinking of others with less patience.Maybe discouraging new/return players.
