Wow, some nice sleuthing there.

Does this mean that every person who downloads the game will get the same white screen when they try to run it??
I'm guessing Steam would have the same issue?

Yes

So far he has not answered emails. Seriously fed up with that
Has any of you tried a PM?

Just in case there's a third party automatic spam filter that somehow has decided that everything posted to support@hitechcreations.com is spam.

go to this link and download the file. Place it in the Aces High III directory with the .exe files.

After some experimentation, i narrowed it down to the stdshape.res file which is generated after install. So it will not be in a fresh copy of the game. Something is going wrong with that for new installs. It probably is IP related. Some process within the game is calling to an old address when its generating that file. Just my guess.  I could be totally wrong.

Hopefully that file works. Its a 2gb download from my working game directory.

Just like the points in Who's Line, they don't really matter.

Go to the control settings, select your pitch, click axis tune, add a curve. Repeat for roll. Maybe a 15 for starters.

I add a LOT of curve for rudder... on everything.  For the Stick I usually set to 15.  That said, I don't think I'll ever get my head around the rudder.  Doesn't matter what plane, it seems like it's way, way, way, too sensitive.  I have no idea regarding real life, but it just doesn't feel right.

I assume the IP is hard coded in. Just guessing

I don't think so, servers have names like gs5.hitechcreations.com

The other stat pages load fast.  This thing barely loads at all and the Tour drop down menu is blank.

The first Amiga and Atari ST both used the Motorola 68000 CPU. This was the most advanced PC CPU at the time. I owned a 1040 ST and an Amiga 2000. The Amiga was superior.

Sorry what I meant was the guy that worked on the Atari 6502 models was the guy that designed the Amiga.
