Take a look at the Individual Player Score Page. Type in your name and select the arena type and tour number.

See all those categories?

Fill each one with something. Don't worry about losing anything because you can't. You're not penalized for anything you do. Your score will always get better no matter what. The quicker, more lethal and accurate you are the faster you'll score points.

Fly for kills not fights, soon you too could be a scoreboi.

The most important advice anyone can give a new player is don't play for score or rank as score/rank are meaningless.

I know that you think by having a low rank will mean you're good at the game but all it really shows that you are good at gaming the game and that's it.  That little nugget you posted about scoring your fighter sorties under attack to keep your fighter rank low is just an example of how you can game the game and does not in anyway indicate your level of skill, in fact, it usually points to the opposite.

Do yourself a favor and start playing the game for the fun of it and don't worry about what your score or rank is, no one else cares.

I got called a scoreboi (well it wasn't that nice of a term) and I just play the entire game.  Love to GV, fly fighters, jabos, bombers...just like it all.  Feb. is my normal score padding month but got a rank of 9th overall last tour.  It helped alot that I was able to fly 163's and I went back to my buff hunting with the C205.  But score is meaningless you'll get no ones respect for a good rank.

My mom does! Each month I print out my ranks & scores and show them to her. And then she's so proud of her big boy! And if my score is particularly well in a given tour, she's baking me a huuuuge cake. (I gained ~50lbs since I started playing AH  :uhoh)

As some in this tread have said, do not pay attention to score. It means very little nowadays and most players simply ignore it. Also the score is not a representation of how good a pilot is as the system can be "milked" if you know how it works.

Put simply, ignore your score, just fly and have fun. Otherwise you're not going to enjoy this game.

When I want kills I up a P-38J and fly to the nearest furball. I've been told the 38 is a very easy and forgiving plane to fly....

On the way in we have tea and crumpets. It makes for a glorious evening.

heeeeeeeeeeeres what u do.

climb to 40k over your own base an stay there for oh say 1 hour or 2, and wait for a plane to try an climb up to you and make swiping passes at them, returning bak up to 40k until they are dead. and if they arrive co-alt run and continue gaining more alt (they will probably get bored chasing u, or die of old age) once they turn away imediately turn back for them repeating the swiping passes.

do this properly and u will surely be ranked 1 or 2 as well as shielded ur virginity until the right the right women comes around............deuce deuce :bolt:

oh and youll be able to control all CV's!!!!!!!!!

That is an easy one...

1. Fly at 35k and pounce on anything (which is usually everything) lower than you. Claim it is to save fuel, to save face.

2. If you ever do fly low, make sure it is in a Tempest over a cap'd field and vulch as much as you can.

3. Camp in a Tiger as a religion.

Not good if ya playing for score, your kills/time (which is in some way more important than k/d) will suffer  :old:

2. If you ever do fly low, make sure it is in a Tempest over a cap'd field and vulch as much as you can.
Now that's the right direction :D
But even better is taking a Tempest to a friendly base being vulched by the enemy. Much more targets there for a decent k/h and k/s  ;)

3. Camp in a Tiger as a religion.
Tiger isn't the best camper. Turret turns too slow and is too vulnerable in a hull down position. Take a Sherman Firefly instead :)

you forgot....when they're chasin ya, make sure you tell em they should stop running   :devil

Do a bunch of gamey stuff, fret endlessly while in flight (supposedly while having 'fun') about you kills/per hours, bombing factories, etc....and end up a camp maybe 93 in a community of thousands. Then go head to head with any number of guys who have posted in this thread and get your arse handed to you.....at which time you will realize the value of a low score

The KEY to a low score is good drives off the tee, followed by accurate second shots and lastly, you must minimize the multiple putts per green.  If you can hit the greens in regulation, and then start 1 and two putting, you will be on your way to a low score!  Good luck!

 :salute :bolt:

After that, head to the 19th hole and have a few beers.... this is always a good thing!

If by score you mean Rank then do as one other poster mentioned: make sure you kill in fighter mode, destroy things (or kill) in attack mode, bomb stuff in bomber mode, and kill things in GV mode.  Overall rank takes into account your rank in each of those four subcategories.  Since many people never bomb, attack, or GV accomplishing pretty much anything in those areas will cause your rank in them to plummet, thereby making your overall rank plummet.  For one tour I tried this and my overall rank dropped by a factor of 20.  However, at the end of the tour I was still the same crummy player I was at the beginning.
Title: Re: I need tips on how to keeping a low score
Post by: MotleyCH on January 05, 2010, 10:16:20 PM
Attack Mode: Just use bombs and hit a town or factory, you want to get 3-4 objects destroyed for each bomb.
Bomber Mode: Town or factory and spread bombs out to get 3-5 or more objects destroyed for each bomb.
GV Mode: Find a good hiding spot and spawn camp
Fighter Mode: Don't engage unless you have an advantage, run when you lose it, hide in your ack  :lol

I usually would just do a few missions each of the bomber and attack this way to get my rank in the 100s and have fun for the rest of the month.

Fighter: Find the closest fight and kill everyone. Dont HO and if you see LOW bombers kill them first (but do not ignore the fighters that might kill you). Points are most important and points come from the damage you do to enemy planes. Shoot accurate and leave nothing of their plane except the pilot and stick and then shoot the pilot.

Bomber: Climb to heaven and bomb towns. Ignore the strats. Blame HTC I didnt make it like that.

Attack: Same as fighter except every now and then you should shoot buildings with a LOT of ammo (dont miss). Every tenth sortie or so fly a flock of Ju88s and bomb a Vbase down and guns too and then bail and take a goon or m3 to capture it.

Vehicles: DO NOT spawn camp. Your kills per time will be terrible if you do and you will get bombed. Defend fields on the move (dont camp) and keep them guessing where you are. Once each tour you need to use the rockets on the PT or the 251 tracked vehicle to destroy some buildings. Try not to miss.

Fear nothing. Always press your attack and know that the guy you are fighting is sorry he ever saw you. Let everyone know that if it is YOUR choice to engage THEY WILL DIE! If in the unlikely event you are shot down or killed just shake it off and realize it was a random bullet and not the other guy pointing his mouse at you. If you are out of ammo do not go defensive... scare the pudding out of them and watch them auger!

Do not defend a base from a single (lone) con. Do not up a wirbel to kill a single (lone) porker. Do not climb to heaven to shoot bombers. Do not resupply in vehicle or goon.

When you can do all of the 'DO NOTs' and still rank in the top ten you will realize just how terrible everyone else really is.

Next time take Uptowns advice.  :aok

I have discovered that if you do what you want and have fun doing it the rest will take care of itself. The only real reason to have rank is to keep noobs from destroying the CVs when they go AFK while they are controlling it. I do not like CV planes so I would prefer to defend a field instead of attacking from a CV but obviously the quickest fight you can find is CV versus airfield. Usually the knights are attacking at the closest airfield/airfield or airfield/CV there is so thats where you should be too.

If you stay Bishop you will eventually discover that because of ENY you will usually be at a disadvantage material wise and you will have to work that out.

:aok

You will be called a picker and they will say you fight timidly. Ignore them as the dweebs/noobs they are. None of them have a clue.

Too bad HiTech got rid of your old favorite, spawning a fighter in a hanger and firing at it to get your hit % up.

I need tips on how to  keeping a low score

Anything would be nice i already know that when flying a fighter/attack plane you should put it on attack it will keep your fighter score lower but is there anything else i can do

Greenegle 1. only kill buidings and tanks in attack mode. 2 bomb towns and cvs land. {others will go strats for score ( this is what others say milking or gameing game but since ghtc change strats it now helps your side. 2 u need gv captures and goon captures. so best to be in squad and behave and mature( this i say by watching some flame you on this topic).easier to get captures if in squad or friends. 3. gv to towns take down town and defend gv base with supllies out and kill then land ur sorties. 4 use fighter mode when you know you going to see many cons. as score lower if u kill 4 cons in 1 hr than 1 in 15 mins so on. 5. use right plane for situation, alone use faster plane, against bombers use 110 And rockets. tiffy or 190a8 so on bomber killers. 6. now to get great score in fighter do like some squads do or other people deack base vulch with new plane in fighter mode. its cheap i don't do it but alot do.7.  use rockets on 251 on a town once in tod or torpedos in pt on cv. 8.attack gvs with plane has best adv tanks b25h i believe best. i like il2 for flaks.9... (.using a bomber to kill tanks hurts your score. ( i use b26s to kill tanks if i'm outnumbered bad since i can kill planes and gvs with them. 10 use right bomber for situation no enemy or u have cover lancs have best damage ability. b26s low best defense. high b17s beat defense b24 catch fire faster than a6m.

lastly use right equipment for the job at hand and score will lower i believe you are asking hot to get below 200 or so.

tiger comeing to base no other gvs i use ju87 and MOAB (mothe rof all bombs 1800kg) all you got to do is get close. flaks with supllies out u no ord grab tank go to town kill. diving on flak with a fighter mostly gets you killed if they have a good shot. defndeing m3s to dead town b2h can kill 20 to 30 in a sortie my best was 25 kills of jeeps one night 75mm of death.

now all that said if you go just for rank to be number 1 people know that your doing it just for rank you will lose respect of 80% players. but to play and use these topics you can in midwar be under number 20 without gameing game. late war u can be in 100's or less if you learn basic a6ms and learn adv and disadv of all planes u might fight. always make enemy fight your fight if you can. do fight his fight  DON"T LET THEM ROPE U. there is 1 player i know what he flys that every single time i see him i can rope him and i explain to him thats what i'm doing he keeps flopping.  best to learn acms if you can and use right mode and planes score will follow.

Technically the MOAB is the 4K on the lanc. The Ju87's bomb is equal to roughly 3,970lbs.

I use to try and fly for score, once you give it up and could care less about your rank you'll find the game much more enjoyable. :aok
