Title: Well.. my stolen car was found...
Post by: F22RaptorDude on October 02, 2011, 08:37:17 PM
Friend sent me a picture of a burned up nitro car, looked like mine, he led me to it and found out it was indeed my car, it was torn apart and burned really bad, I took pictures so i'll have those up in a few, they didn't try to hide it at all either, it was in the middle of the trail (unfinished part of my neighborhood) sticking out of the ground.  (http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h375/F35_LightningBravo/321864_226344974087762_100001367835388_579011_1834347971_o.jpg)

Burned in the woods to get the insurance money. This is a cut and dry case of good ol fashion insurance fraud.

What the hell? Why would I do that, plus our insurance only covers items damaged over 1,000 dollars, plus I loved the thing, why would I destroy it!?

They said the engine was annoying, my neighbor is friends with them and she was with them at her house the 2nd day I had it, I had finally gotten it working right

It was behind my moms car for gods sake, my house is on a hill so you can't see in the garage from the street, they had to have been eye balling my house, but regardless, when I get a new one I'm keeping it on my work bench in my room, and I also have a security camera installed in my room. haha it was beast, 3rd day I took it to my high school and ran it on the track, that thing would tear it up! Then the day it got stolen I ran it in the morning Cause I was happy I had gotten it tuned just right

You really think they're going to give you a CSI Miami, David Caruso sunglass donning moment?  Think again.

Don't be such a sweetheart bag and don't go out of your way to annoy your neighbors by being an inconsiderate jackwagon to those around you by running your car at/in inappropriate times/places. You'll probably find your stuff won't get stolen and burned (if that's what even happened) nearly as often.

Sincerely,
Golfer

Burned in the woods to get the insurance money. This is a cut and dry case of good ol fashion insurance fraud.
Do you watch Worlds-dumbest by chance?

Your comment reminded me of a video i saw on there, this couple had a van, and they kept slamming it into tree's trying to total it to the point where it wouldnt run anymore. There plan was to say they swerved to avoid a car that cut them off, and they went skidding off the road into a tree to get the insurance money on the car. Everything they did went according to plan. the insurance company believed them, and they got the money on the van.

Only problem was, They were stupid enough to RECORD thereselves wrecking the van. When they got the insurance money, they started bickering between themselves on who gets what, and one of em turned the video over to the insurance company.  :rofl

One kid got out of juvenile jail after about 6 months of disappearance, me and him used to be cool until he got involved with all the activity that goes on, the other kid has been at this since he moved in 2 years ago problem is they do stuff at night or while people are at work during the day, my dad see's then walking in the streets during the day when he comes home for lunch, but again I don't expect you to believe anything from me

its just 2 that live in the neighborhood, they have more people at school, and I know one kid stole a tv and has it in his room, when the car was first stolen I check the pawn shops in my area for a few days until it became apparent they weren't going to sell it, my neighbor said she they were talking about destroying it, and apparently money didn't mean anything cause they did exactly as they said

I'm not sure why you do and say some of the things you do. I'm not sure why this particular bulletin board is your outlet either. I do thank you for the entertainment.

you could easily have said "this one kid" instead of "the black kid"

You bringing his ethnicity into the picture opened the door towards him thinking it could be racist. You could have very well left it out.

You guys misunderstood.  It was a just a kid that was black from the smoke from the burning car and living in the woods for so long.  That is what he meant  :old:

Second.

If someone denies holding prejudice after being called a racist and had not said anything remotely degrading or insulting in the first place then you need to back off. The kind of people who are just as bad as outspoken racists are the kind of people who pull the "race card" or run about looking for reasons to accuse somebody of being racist. F22 didn't need to specify the color of the guy's skin, but skorp is the person who's behavior here is disgusting. Now play nice.

There isn't much you can do about something small like that (I assume that it is a small loss).  You can tell the police, but the fact that it had been there for a month would sound fishy.  This gang may very well be real, but if you go around accusing people around the police, you'll start looking strange yourself.  The point you made about few people liking you is odd.  The creeps that supposedly did this to you would do it whether you were well liked or not.  The 'drama' people frequently reference is simply a matter of choosing to stay out of dishonest dealings (e.g., cheating on your girlfriend, not telling someone that their partner is cheating, not anonymously informing the proper authorities if you have a good case for someone doing something highly illegal, such as larceny, hard drugs, or grand theft).

You can believe me that there is no advantage to secluding oneself from others.  I have gone through a period like that- no real friends in school, no one to trust.  That period lasted from Kindergarten to 7th grade.  I know that world, and I don't want to go back.  Granted, you live in a neighbourhood that does not compel one to be very trusting, (just look at what those punks did to your R/C car!), but you must realize that even though there will be haters, most people will enjoy someone who talks to them.  That's where you come in.

Think of it from their perspective.  Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who listens to you, respects your opinion, gives a compassionate reply, and brings up topics of common interest from time to time?  I'm sure that you'd enjoy that- and giving that treatment to others is almost all it takes to be well liked.  Looks, athletic ability, and wit all help, but if you're a dirtbag or a complete introvert, they're all but useless.

I did it, and look at me, I'm as white and nerdy as they come.  I debate people for fun on the internet, have no sport, and particpate in several academic after-school activities.  I did decide, however, that other people were worth my time, and now people see me and shout my name from speeding cars, across hallways, or from classrooms, and I always have someone to talk to.

So get out there, and get involved.  If you're nice to people, everyone but the haters (everyone has them, even the most popular kids) will return the favor.  The only choice you need to make is, "Do I care enough about the other human beings in my life to be compassionate and outgoing toward them?".

No you don't understand, my neighbor is friends with them and me, she told me they were talking about stealing it, then my dad saw them leave the neighborhood with a full duffel bag, then their friend started gloating about it and told me, i'm not accusing people blindly, I know who did it for a fact

It was behind my moms car in the garage, my house is on a hill so you can't see into my garage easily from the street, they were eye balling my house I know it, but I couldn't take it inside cause it would leak fluid and was really filthy with grass and stuff stuck to the frame. Dad was coming home from work, me my mom and my brother were in the kitchen when it happened, they must have rushed in, threw it in the bag and ran off

That sounds extremely unlikely to me. Some teen age gang bangers snuck into your house while you and most of your family were in the house, took your RC car and took off? Come on, you have to realize how ridiculous that sounds. From watching a video you posted on youtube, your garage is attached to your house correct? That makes it sound even more like some kind of fantasy.

first: car stolen and burned
second: cops notified
third: he said it rained alot over the crime scene
fourth: he says he leaves it behind the garage, kind of stupid.
fifth: a 2 man gang steals the car
sixth: here we are

anyone else think this is all a bit fishy? not to mention the car looks hardly burned when his friend just so happened to stumble apon it in the middle of an unfinished dirt trail half-buried in the sand.

Hell.....I used to sprint into a few choice garages as a kid and nick a couple of beers from the garage fridge........not 15 seconds after the owner went inside.

Yes, I also staked out the house by seeing which house had guys standing around like hank hill and friends so I knew the fridge would be stocked.

Why was it always cheap beer in cans?

Dude, you have no clue.  That's exactly how stuff gets stolen.  Like when my stereo got stolen out of my car while it was in my driveway 20ft from my bedroom window.  Or this...  http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Kicker-8217-s-golf-clubs-stolen-by-man-deliveri?urn=nfl-wp8243 (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Kicker-8217-s-golf-clubs-stolen-by-man-deliveri?urn=nfl-wp8243)

It's not like common petty thieves are rappelling down from the rafters dressed in black tactical gear while spraying aerosol to detect secret laser traps.

I'll add LOCK UP YOUR VALUABLES to the aforementioned advice.

Leaving it "behind my mom's car" is not locking it up.

Lesson learned, I suppose (or I hope?)

If you leave your belongings unsecured in the US military:

1) Someone will drink your milkshake
2) You will be punished by Article 15 of the UCMJ (you can look that up for something to do in the spare time you have that is not being filled by playing with your car)

In case your attention span is short I'll repeat it for effect...

All 3 of mine are in individual boxes, with locks, constructed for the sole purpose of containing them and/or any fluids that they may leak.

Hell, I have a lock on a $6 shovel.
Why?  Because it's mine and it would cost me more in fuel than the shovel is worth if someone absconded with it and I had to get a new one.

It would leak from the exhaust after a really long run
So it wasn't constantly leaking?

Not, it would just leak after a run for a min or two, drops coming out of the exhaust pipe

You better hope that none of them were burned while torching your little car. You might get sued.

So you couldn't wait a minute or two for the leaking to stop to wipe it down and put it in your house?

They said the engine was annoying,

…if anything i'm more hellbent on getting a new one to piss em off even more

I prefer to make most hate me, that way I don't get involved in people's crap cause in that way I don't have to talk or be friends with anyone

I'm a very firm believer in karma,

You may be a very firm BELIEVER in karma… But I’m wondering if you would recognize it when it presented itself?

In the beginning I didn't do anything to provoke them

Regardless I have good news, me and my dad went back to look for the gallon fuel bottle and we found the controller unburned, it was tossed aside into a bush

Hey F22 I would like an answer. Why couldn't you wait one to two minutes for the leak to stop then wipe the car clean and put it in your house?

My dad didn't want it in the house, it was covered in greasy grass and I wasn't going to be able to clean it until later in the week when my grandfather brings his truck with the air compressor, I wanted it inside the house

You're great with excuses. Try finding solutions.

we wiped our control line planes down with formula 409 it cuts the grease from Bean oil instantly and put em in the trunk of dads 65 pontiac after a day of flying at the park.
of course that was 35 years ago they probably make better cleaners now adays :old:

Would 409 dissolve delicate components with its high power?
