is it really needed? what does it add to the game? how about some brains and as others have suggested "chunks of flesh". didn't know they were coding to the half life crowd..

I find it offensive and vulgar. hope you can toggle it off if this childish "feature" is to stay in the final product

imo, very poor taste htc

Eagler check you IL-2 text files and change 0-gore to 1-gore.

Oleg does a swell job.

Above all relax, it's a game.  Your chain is way too easy to pull.

It's all good.

But I'm STILL holding out for skull fragments..

Because you know what ?? It's a game.  That, and I find skull fragments very immersive..

On one level I do see what Eagler is saying, on another level I won't have to check my damage list every time I hear a bang and can't feel an immediate change in my aircraft just to see if "I" was hit.

I could live without it. I'd rather see instrument and canopy shatter.

I could care less.  As long as there's SOMEthing different about a pilot wound compared to any other damage, I'm happy.

I think it's going to appeal to many more people than it offends, but like Eagler, I hope it is user-selectable.    (Maybe with a slider switch, so that all the way over, Nopoop can have his skull fragments-- 'course, if there are skull fragments on the canopy, who would be left to look at them?)

I love the bullet-holes, and think a smashed up instrument panel would be cool too.

How about "damaged engine" wav file, where the engine cuts out, runs rough, lots of clanking noises, etc?

Mmmm......brains.
And there I was, just thinking i was just getting bullet holes.

Btw, anychance of HTC doing something simular to my chute damage pack, which I compiled a couple of years ago, officialy?
Preferably I'd like at least the chute hit sounds, but if it could be done for pilot hits aswell....

hope they don't stop there then .. need audio

"J.C. I've been hit" or the G.D. in FB which I find extremely tasteless and offensive

don't forget about cockpit fire, would make for great screaming/crying wav file as pilot slowly burns to death ...

it's a "game", keep it that way - if you need gore to have fun, you have a problem
