I'm a memeber of the EAA and have held my Private Pilot's License since 1991.  There's a real lack of airplanes bigger than little Cessna's so I haven't upgraded to high performance and I'm still working on finishing up my Instrument training.

I'm going to start learning to fly a UH-1 Huey in a few weeks so I am really looking forward to that (even bought Apocalypse Now on DVD in preparation!!).

I have piloted a jet fighter, albeit an old bird...a DeHaviland Vampire.  Kinda looks like a P-38 but with a centerline jet engine...here's a picture of one, tho not the one I got to fly.

Other interesting things about yourself.

When Im not gaming, I like to program in Visual Basic and am having fun learning Flash 5.  More about me is at www.paulbussiere.com  with links to my BD-5 project

Began flyin it on my Amiga as 'Deader' ..after about a year changed my handle to 'Gray Eagle' ..was always 1326 .. then later Kesmai gave me a free flag account that was tail number 668 ..had a blast sneakin with that one awhile :) Think I was one of the first to reach 50 scenarios ..was in the first cross-atlantic scenario flying against the brits, run by DoK :) Got a kill in a JU-88 of all things, spitfire.

Do you have any other connection to aviation or WWII?
USAF 13 yrs as ECM troop on the line where I picked up 2 years of aerodynamics from Embry-Riddle (while I was part of the 4th TFW) F4's of every make (was one of the first 6 men trained to maintain the F-4G weasel before they even hit George AFB), A-7d SLUFS, F-105G, B-52G/H's..even a stint on the C-130 drone launchers..worked defensive avionics on B-1b from AC #2 - #99 as part of Eaton/AIL.

Father was forward radio observer in Patton's 3rd from before D-Day to V-E day, lost a jeep to a tiger (the german ran over it as they bailed after rounding a corner at high speed and running into the back of the Tiger in a small french town).
One Uncle was among the first on Guadalcanal.
Another died in the Berlin Airlift after flyin B-17's for the 8th during WW2.

Other interesting things about yourself.
solo'd in a 172 under 8 hours, flew Crazy Horse for an hour (when I had 18 hrs total flying time in 'real' airplanes..Lee still don't beleive me .. LOL)
Bracet raced a 440 powered '71 duster for 18 years off and on. Owned a '67 Hemi 4-speed GTX way back when it was a 2 year old car..paid 2700 bucks for it ..spoiled me for life on big blocks. Owned an L-88 powered 4-speed '64 malibu for a long time..*very* fast lil chebby :)

Online gaming captured me, I stopped drag racing, stopped flying, worked at KesCo for 6 years as their lead artist on AW.. Jonathan Baron brought me there to help give a windows interface that worked to the AWDOS game.. Air Warrior for Windows brought so many more players in it filled our servers up for weeks..then came AW2 and a killer animation done in just 2 weeks on P90's ..AW3 was the first online air combat game with texture maps (if not the first texture mapped 3d game) ..I was hammered for years there, too much to do, not enough time to do it! Loved every minute of it :)
