I think the hate comes from the "stolen election" deal. Seriously. And I doubt seriously Bush can do a damned thing about it.

Will Kerry himself launch a legal barrage? I don't know. I think Gore was a big part of the 2000 deal, and I think Kerry will cave into if the party goes for it. And I'm not convinced that they won't.

I'm revising my prediction DOWN to 274.

There's a couple of close states, but only Nevada and Iowa seem close enough to fight over (as of now).  If Ohio goes to Bush, it's going to be tough for Kerry to recover.

Don't go by Al Sharpton or the other Dem extremists. That's just the most vocal segment and not at all representative of most people voting for Kerry.

Funny thing is, if Cheney had stepped down from the ticket for "health reasons" and Bush ran with just about anyone else, he'd probably win by a landslide.

Hell ... Iowa is delayed ... Ohio is looking very contentious ... rumors of lawyers about to be deployed like Delta Force from both sides ... I really didn't think it'd come to this.  :(

Forget Sharpton, Jackson, and the rest of the fringe. I'm talking about mainstream Democrats, both voters and politicians. People I know well, including members of my family. Bush could run with Jesus Christ and these people would still hate him.

Watching MSNBC and Pat Buchannon says it may not be over. He says Kerry should not conceed yet. There is still a lot of uncounted ballots in friendly territory. It may come down to Hawaii. Cheney's trip may have paid off big.

See ... among the people I know (mostly folks in California and New England) a lot of the gripe is stuff that Cheney is wrapped up in. A lot of the people I know don't think W is really well qualified to be president, but all pretty much agree he does mean well and is basically a good person (which isn't something easy to say about a politician).

Regardless of the way these parts of the country are portrayed, and the way they usually vote, there are a lot of independant voters who don't really vote along party lines. For instance, Bill Weld was a very popular governor in Mass. - he's a Republican. Arnie is gov. in California - Arnie is very Republican, but Cali votes Dem recently. Bush has an IQ a lot lower than mine, yet I trust Bush, look up to him and think he has all the qualities needed to be a great President and leader.

Bush is a rare politician in the Reagan vein imho.

It's a longshot for Kerry. I wonder if Bush is confident enough to make a victory speech before Kerry conceeds. Man, would he look bad if it blew up in his face.
