Seriously, I can't even fly & fight using hatviews. I don't even have them mapped anymore. When I lose my TIR tracking for any reason (happens rarely), I immediately RTB (and use the keyboard during it) and relog.

I was wondering when a TIR user would chime in.

Seriously thinking about it.

For those of you who have a CH Pro Throttle here is some code that will automatically turn WEP on when you firewall the throttle ... and shut it off when pulled back from full throttle.

In your CMS script file enter this line ...

CMS.B2 = [JS2.A3 < 10]; // Apply WEP when Throttle is firewalled. WEP off when not firewalled

In the Control Manager, click on the CMS Controls Tab. In this example, I have assigned this action to B2.

Click on B2 and enter in the "press" field ... NULL p

If you already have B2 assigned to something else, find an empty CMS control and enter ... NULL p in the "press" field and change the CMS.B2 to whatever Bnumber you have chosen.

This works well for me when knife fighting and using a lot of throttle control. I can work the full spectrum of the throttle and when WEP is needed, I simply push the throttle full forward and bingo ... WEP ON !!!

I also have WEP toggle assigned to another key on the throttle.

Hat switch during combat to keep my hand free for flaps and such. Number pad just for looking around during flight.

Stupid language.  Can't safely make fun of anyone :furious

Lets see, yeah, a "mouce".  You can only buy those thingies directly from HT!

How that for a recovery? :furious

Plantronics....I bought from Circuit City a while back for only 30 bucks....Good investment as it sounds like a Bose Headset with the Bass and sharpness of sound for when I cant be blasting the speakers...

As for the book, I keep it nearby so I can read it on climbout :D

Keyboard for typing, selecting engines, vis ranges, and arrestor hook. Some of those might actually be programmed, but I can't remember where. Everything else I use is on the stick. Yea Saitek.

Get a 3ft long piece of cord and tie one end to a rafter in your garage while standing on a stool. Tie the other end around your right (or left whichever applies) thumb, kick stool out from under you and hang by your thumb for at least 30 mins. Do this once a day for 30 days, this  should s - t - r - e - t - c - h your thumb out at least another inch - OR - your thumb will fall off from lack of circulation (whichever comes first).

Sennheiser headsets are the best IMHO. Thay are spendy but well worth the comfort and sound quality.

at this point i use the cyborg evo by saitek i have had it for over 3 years worked great untill the other night, {got a load crack out of it} so im going to pickup the X-52 tonight.

other wise i use hat, for views

the only thing i use keyboard for is

typing

map zoom

gun zoom {i set the toggle on stick}

gear

switch secondary weapon

i got it set up so that when im in a fight
nether hand has to leave the stick

although my main trigger is not fire, it is gun zoom toggle
fire is lower butten on left.

my targeting skillz are so bad i had to switch the buttens to help steady the shot.
