How many here are "long-timers".

My first hop in Air Warrior was some time around 96. I stayed until EA trashed it. I flew AH for a month or two, then took a break for a while. Real life has required a few breaks, and I do not fly as much as I once did. And Guppy35 is right, it has changed a great deal, and many of those changes are some part of why I don't fly as much as I used to. I once flew as much as 3-5 hours a night, lately I often don't fly 3-5 hours a month. There are still times when I really love it, but they are not as common as they used to be.

Warbirds 2 for me back in 99. Found and joined Aces High in Beta Tour 2 i think.

I used to play a game on the commodore 64 back in '85ish called "Twin Tornado" - a game where you could link two C64s together with a serial cable and fight each other. But that was the days before the public internet and hardly anyone had PCs, so finding someone to fly against who had a C64 and could bring his machine around to my place to link up, was pretty hard to find!

AH Tour 26 - 3/2002

Air Warrior on AOL circa 12/1994 to 1-2/1995.  I'm a little fuzzy on when I joined then but do know I was at the tender age of 11...Squeak! :)

I can find my ID back in tour 23 (end of 2001) but know I played AH before AW actually died but can't remember the ID I was using. Some people I knew were already making the full time transition here from AW back in Beta tours...I was much more stubborn

I started in AW on aol, my squadron was Purple Hearts and my cpid at the time was Wargd.

Took a couple years off as I went to college, grew up etc, then came back here in 05 for about a year under handle TripleA... didnt take the time to figure how to keep my handle after my break, so now it's TripleAA

Started in AW in 96 as MDJOE, switched to AH on tour 21, switched to "The Fugitive" on tour 67.

Only problem with a poll like this is less than 5% of the community visits the boards. :(

I started in Air Warrior, *before* it was called Classic.

Same here.... 1st started on Delpi sometime around 94/95 I thank. Don't fly alot in the those days, Army pay & pay-by-the-hour did not work out very well. Follow AW to AOL, Gamestorm and till the end on EA.

Started AH back during the free Beta.....

Did time in WB, WW2OL & FA2 along the way.

I was one of the SVGA dweebs. I started AW at the release of SVGA Air Warrior, I forget when that was, late '92 or early '93? First AH tour was 48.

Old timers are much less than 10%.
