Personally, I think the squads that couldn't maintain better control over their squad numbers
should get the last choice as to what they get & where they go.

I feel the same way SaX.  But if this is how they want to run things then. We shall wing... I hope.

Can a squad request that they wing w/ another for a frame??

Explained the reasoning in another thread.

Absolutely a squad can request to wing with another squad. However, the Admin's CM do not dictate things like to the frame CiC.

Contact your side's frame CiC, the both of you, and ask him if he can have your two squads work / wing together. Personally if I was a CiC and knew that you guys work well together I would place you together. Group cohesion is important and when you pair up squads you definitely want any advantage you can get n that deparment.

Sounds good to me.

I totally agree that two squads that work well together should be paired together.

Are you guys going to try and make me justify every squad assignment?  :huh

We try and alternate as best has we can, but that does not mean that squads will not sometimes see the same side 2 - 3 times in a row. If a squad sees the same side 4 times in a row, THEN they need to say something, and we will try to change that.

Spivey, I have your squad as Allied in "Operation Cerberus". From what I see your squad has pretty much gone back and forth.

Starting with Arado 234 blitz for the Chawks.......

Axis
Allied
Axis
Allied
Axis
Allied/Axis
Allied

There are a couple of events that did not get recorded.

Next...............

:)

Sled, in logs it shows 364th as axis for Cerberus. Just pointing that out.

Gents,  I think y'all know what the Admins are trying to do.  And that they like all of us are terribly flawed.  So give em a break, please.

Also, we've had a wave of new admin blood on the CM team, so they are getting up to speed on all the wonderful CM tools, reports, etc.  So the basic premise SLED is requesting is patience.

On the tools side, I'm a bit behind on the requests to automate a few of the things that would make the Admin CMs life easier.  The tools will eventually be automated more, but at the present they are manually updated, so things like a squad being marked as Axis on our custom tracking sheet versus them actually flying Allied or vice versa is to be expected.  Have you guys ever worked on a shared spreadsheet that 5 people had copies of and were expected to keep it updated?

Bottom line, gripe, complain when we mess you over big time, but please cut us a we bit of slack now and again.

Thanks.

Hey ghostdancer
I signed the 79th Fighter Group up Sat. Evening. And I PM you about possibly see if you could squeeze us in. We have a total of 9 able pilots. And we want to fly with our group / Squadron. Sorry if I was a  little late. But we are new to the FSO. And we would like to give it a go. I had to work this weekend training Air National Guards - traditional. So registering this Saturday evening was my only option. One-way or another please notify me.

Thanks

GGhost, your guys can always just show up and ask if any squads have open slots, most of the time there are squads with spots to spare.  You probably wont all get to fly together, but you'll atleast get a feel for FSO.

From the FSO Logs starting with Arado:

Axis
Allied
Axis
Axis
Axis
Axis
Allied for Frame 1/Frame 2 and 3 moved
Allied

Just trying to get a better understanding of the process.   :rock

Just looked through it, and you're right.  The four Axis in a row should NOT have happened. Did you guys ask to be moved?
