My country is doing what it has to do saving a tiny nation from mass murderers. Just as we usually did.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

Leave Boroda alone, he's russian you can not expect anything else. There's a lot of misinformation and propaganda spread in Russia, but then again it's much the same in the western nations. So who can blame him, when you (we) are much the same?

Russia is largely different from the west, for one they have never known a true democracy and really have no idea what it means let alone what it is. Western nations have enjoyed democracy for so long that we think that we still have it, while the elite have long since taken over.

I think it's time for everyone to wake up and look at their own countries instead of blaming eachother.

Well, it's not like this is an academic discussion. The Russians have invaded a neighbor and are still occupying them. The US will force a confrontation if needed to get them out. We in the US aren't feeling to kindly towards the would be evil empire right now.

Russians don't have internet connection?

Cripes, I heard Georgian cab drivers in Moscow have TV's in their Lada's..?

Surely somebody must have told them that Brezhnev is dead.

:rofl

This is probably the greatest problem Russia is facing in the near future. If that was not enough, what they are doing now is only further alienating them from the western nations, nations that could help Russia through this crisis. Russian nationalism is very strong, Putin is playing this very smart but his time to act is running out. What worries me is, what is he going to do? Will he start another great war to reconquer the lost territories of the former CCCP and try to reestablish Russia as a superpower? It smells a lot of the 1930s to me.

Can you give us the gist of it? I don't really have the time to watch a video that is an hour and 14 minutes long atm. ;)

Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.

I'll give you a hint.  The elite have always ruled,  they rule everything.  There hasn't been a time when they haven't ruled.

Birth rates are half of what is needed to keep the current population constant. Basically because the government spend money on weapons instead of education, medicine and infrastructure to give citizens a better future. A very short sighted plan, I wonder what Putin is up to.

Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.

I have told many times that I am all for Totalitarianism. How can anyone leave vital decision to uneducated crowd?

I'll give you a hint.  The elite have always ruled,  they rule everything.  There hasn't been a time when they haven't ruled.

Oooh you're right. "Democracy" is their way to make voters responsible for their decisions. Now we finally came to the situation where "Democracy is a power of elite that calls itself democratic".

Boroda.. have you been to the vet lately? Had yer rabies booster shot yet?

Dowding.. I doubt your Home Office won't need to revoke many Russian Passports... the Russians seem pretty well disposed to removing Russians living in London. Like they did with Litvinenko.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1534568/Leading-Russian-critic-of-Putin's-regime-is-poisoned-in-London.html

They are so bgooooooooooood about caring for their expat citizens, dontcha know?

Hang, Dowding is lucky they didn't nuke Litvinenko.

Remember how ya all screamed about Politkovskaya killed by Putin? Now it is proved that she got killed by her pet Chechen "rebels".
