For the record: A VP debate has never changed the dynamics of a presidential race.

Other than this, there is nothing else that's worth saying about the VP debate.

Palin is a puke face moron, who wouldn't know how to spell debate if she hadn't been crashing for the test the last 3 weeks! :aok

I think a good mod would have made them stick to the questions asked.

Americans tend not to like that kind of moderation.  We call it "snooty" or "arrogant," or even a kind of bias.  It's a problem with journalism in general in this country; it's wishy-washy and non-commital.  If a politician says the worlld is flat, journalists write "so and so said 'the world is flat,' while others dispute this claim."  A British journalist, on the other hand, would tear them apart.

That intrigues me.. I watch a fair amount of BBC news, can you provide some links to incisive british journalism in action?

You must've seen some examples watching the BBC when they interview American politicians, no?  The next time I hear a good interview that demonstrates incisive British journalism I'll post it.

A "puke face moron"? I thought she was a "doody head"? Either way you make a strong case. :aok

p.s. I would not be throwing stones about that spelling thing.

Lets be clear, when was the last time a VP debate drew 37% more viewing audience than the Presidential debate?

I don't believe any debate has ever attracted 70 million viewers. Still, it doesn't appear to have affected the polls all that much.
