They started him at 45k, and they are teaching him to be one of their programmers. So as that as an example/starting point we could say a decent programmer is going to run in the 65k area, most likely more.

Game programmers usually make more.  For an example, we just hired a new programmer and graphic artist in our new NA studio and the programmers starting salary (he's only 1 year out of college) is close to $80k and the graphic artist (3 years out of college + 1 year at another major game studio) starting salary is slightly over $100k.  Granted, we are a big studio/development/publisher and can afford to pay that kind of salary but a development/studio house like HTC I'm willing to bet that kind of salary will be tough to offer.

The last update in which HTC added an aircraft was in April of 2008 (this year) in V2.12 when they added the P39D and Q and remodeled the task fleet, along with many other plane updates. The P39 and the T34/85 were both wished for constantly here on the forums.
Edit; sorry, it was March.

You forgot the B-25H and C models.  That makes it four planes added with the last year in addition to upgrading a few more planes to the current AH2 standards.

No kidding...how long did us AW'ers have to wait for a meaningful update?  Wasn't it something like 4-5 years?

You got me...I'm actually a former CIA agent that used to fly Vipers in Operation Desert Storm and have 2 Iraqi MiG-29 kills to my credit.  After being retired for 15 years, I was called to active duty and am currently undergoing transition training from the F/A-18D to the E/F model before being shipped to my squadron in Mirimar.  In my free time I'm developing the end all of end all flight sims, called TAS.  That is if I don't manage to get bit by a red scorpion or get brain cancer.

All joking aside, yes I do work at Square Enix.

I thought the vote for the P-39 and the B-25 were at the same time.

The vote was at the same time, but the B-25 won, and was introduced.

The P-39, second in vote tally by less than a percent IIRC, came out several months later.

The naivety ( I know, big word, but I hate calling people stupid) of some people just amazes me!

First off, you pay $15 to play the game "as is" you are not paying for what might come down the line. When you buy a game system you get the game system, NOT the new one that will be coming out next year. Same with the games, you buy Fallout, you get fallout, NOT Fallout II. If you are not happy with, or embarrassed with the game. leave. It's as simple as that.

Add a new programmer.... LOL!!! have you got a clue? Do you know what a decent programmer costs? As an example, my son just graduated from college with a bachelors in  computer science. He was lucky and got into a security software company as one of their helpdesk techs. He repairs both hardware and software issues in the companies computers, so he is NOT a programmer. They started him at 45k, and they are teaching him to be one of their programmers. So as that as an example/starting point we could say a decent programmer is going to run in the 65k area, most likely more. With a little math, we can see that it take 360 new subscribers to cover that paycheck. How many friends do you have that YOU can get subscribed?  :D

I want, give me, give me!!! WHAAAAAAAAAA !!!! Grow up, nothing in life is perfect, and NO ONE is going to cater to you for anything except all the spoiling mommy and daddy have done.
