I have fought against and alongside Belial though I have no idea who he is....he is more likely to up into a spawncamp then set one and is in the middle of more furballs as opposed to hovering above them...

Having flown against him and experienced his timid, head on tactics first hand, I can easily say that he lacks any sort of skill when it comes to flying.  As for his GV work, from his own admissions the majority of his kills come from spawn camping.

Starting in December, HTC is awarding the top 15 pilots with the best overall rating at the end of the monthly Tour in the Main Arena a cash prize!  The top pilot earns $100 and the remaining pilots in the top 15 earn $50 each.  Better yet, the top 15 pilots for each month qualify for the chance to win $500 in the Championship Shootout held after 4 months of qualifying rounds.

I'll say it again, since only AkAk noticed it the first time around.

Re-invent the dueling ladder.  Award the monthly winner a free month of subscription.  It wouldn't reward some of the dweebiness that the current scoring system rewards.  And it might encourage some folks to really put some effort into learning how to fight more effectively.

As a matter of fact, if I were HiTech, I would award a free month to the top three maybe...  Or maybe the top duelist in category.  Have three categories...  Unlimited, which includes any plane in the set, regardless of eny.  Then maybe 11eny and higher.  And a 21eny and higher.  A high ENY plane can be used in any category.  But lower ENY craft must fit into the category.  Heck, add a Bomber category for dogfighting with 4 engined bombers.

Maybe make a rule that a pilot may only win a category once every three months.  And never more then one category.

Just some ideas.

I think if your the top pilot of a tour you should get a free months subscription, it would at least give some incentive.

The number 1 score is not the number 1 pilot. So how do you propose to find the number 1 pilot?

Well we've had the thread on a potential duelling ladder. I don't care about a free month I'd rather have a duelling ladder with no prize for #1, less catiness.
