shifty, when i switched from the X52 to ch, i had a tough time too. just get the buttons where you like em. once you have it set, its just a bit of time, and you'll be right back at the top of your game. good luck with the new stick!

Whats really killing me is the hat switch on the CH stick. I was using either the X52 or X52 pro for years and X45 before that and all had the same hat switch and button setup. Muscle memory is a b***h. I am constantly struggling to look around and always hitting the wrong switch. I do like the way the the CH handles though. I could never get rid of the nose bounce problem on any Saitek product. With the CH my control is much improved, I just have no SA at the moment. :lol

Came back into the AVA tonight after a month or so absence from it....mostly because of work commitments, kids getting ready for school, ya know the real life stuff  .  At any rate, had a blast in there tonight with numbers in the high teens for a couple of hours.   :salute to all for the fights.  Now that life has moderated a bit, i'll be in more often.

I think you are both right.

You are going to have more of both newer players with less skill and experienced players with more skill in the main arena, leaving the AvA with very few true newbies.

I'm going to be offline for 7 to 15 days unless I'm at work starting tomorrow but when I get this old tired box back I should be good and I'll try to lure some more folks in here.

I work outdoors and the Texas 100+ degree heat has me worn out I barely make squadnight and FSOs.

I hear ya man. I'm struggling and I work indoors.

As you probably remember, Tucson in June, even if 112 degrees isn't so bad with no humidity, but when monsoon season hits, 105 plus humidity is a killer. Probably similar to Texas.

You'd think a casino would always be cool and comfortable but this AC is a "chiller" system, slightly better than evaporative cooling.

Everyday, I walk out of there with my hair and clothes soaked through.

Being a bit overweight ain't helping me much neither.

October can't come soon enough.

FROM THE FRONTLINES:

No advancement. Map stays up again.

Don't you knotheads know that neutral bishop vbases don't count? :lol

Edited so I don't have to buy Dicho a bottle of whatever "Pussers" is.

Oh yeah I remember the Tucson summers. It was very hot but if you could grab a little shade it was bearable. Monsoon season was another story the humidity wasn't quite as bad as we get here but very similar. I loved the rain you got with Monsoon season but it always screwed us up on the flightline. We had to clear the flightline if lightning was within 5 miles. That made for a lot of nights when we could have been finished before midnight turn into working until 4:00 to 5:00 am. Monday sucked here 107 degrees and humidity in the 70% bracket. It started cooling off as of Wednesday we've been in the 90s which is a huge improvement. The wife and I are also remodeling the house right now doing all the work ourself. That's another time and energy sapper. In fact we both start a working vacation this morning. We're off  from work for the next 10 days to hopefully get the remodeling near completion. By the way Jim we're planning a trip to Tucson in January or February. Judy's never been there and wants to see it plus I still have some Air Force friends that retired there. I'll keep you posted maybe we can hook up for dinner or something one evening.  :aok

That would be awesome, the perfect time to come, weather wise.

Ever seen the Pima Air Museum?

That's exactly why I planned it for one of those months. The winter weather in Tucson is awesome. Yep I used to haunt the Pima Air Museum a lot. I can't wait to see it again.  :aok
