i think this is the first thing you've gotten right in this entire thread.

 toyota has actually equaled honda, and in some instances surpassed them in reliability. i would not hesitate to have a camry, or a corolla.......a prius though....i can't stomach them.

Yeah, but find me a Toyota I can compforitabley fit in (I'm 6'4"-6'5").  Host hondas have more head room I've found, that's a big selling point for me.

good point. i'm 6'2, but i only weigh 160 or so, which lets me fit in nearly everything. my 93 geo is a little short on head room though.......

That is the engine.  No car to put it in yet.

Most of the Cobras, in the lot I hang around with, have engines that run from 500 to 650HP.  There is one with a stock 302 in it, and another one with a stock 351C in it, but the rest are pretty much over the top.

One guy has a Hennessey Viper V-10 engine in it (around a 1,000HP).  Another one has a BWM M series V-8 in it.

The problem with the high horsepower is getting a decent launch.  However, those cars also have no problem parking the speedometer at 185MPH for hours on end.  185MPH is considered to be the safest top speed for a Cobra, due to the lousy aerodynamics of the car.

There is a video of a Cobra running down a straight away at 180MPH, and the rear end lifts enough the tires start spinning and smoking.  The driver shed a few pounds of poop when that happened.

My C5 FRC is like 3170lbs with about 630-640 at the engine (533 ground) It can't hook up in first or second. I can't imagine close to that power at almost a 1000lbs less, much less anything more then that.  Crazy power to weight numbers
