109 Training Request
« on: November 19, 2011, 10:42:44 AM »
So I have become enamored of the 109 and particularly obsessed with JG-52. I fly them and do ok, but I believe I could get much better with a little flight instruction. Would any of the 109 experten be available to spend some time in the training arena with me?

Thanks and Kindest Regards

Glad to hear you would like to learn this beauty.
I would contact Bunnies (Ardy123 on the BBS). Not sure he has much time nowadays...
He was teaching me last year, and i luv to fly against him. May not the bestest 109 stick ever, but still fairly good and can tell you exactly what and how you should do to improve.
Best wishes,

This really makes me want to get back in the game badly. I would have loved working with someone to show them the little I knew about 109 jockeying.  That is fun stuff.  I miss dueling with Ardy a lot too...

Sigh,, just a couple more months...

Just remember that as you go down the line, the 109s loses maneuverability but gains vertical performance.
Against some of the weaker planes (in engine performance that is), after the first merge, I can straight up and gain an instant ~2K advantage (if we're co-E). If he tries to follow, it's usually an easy stall kill. If he doesn't, use your altitude to make BnZ passes.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

VK,

I'm in the TA most evenings after 8 or 9 pm est. I'd be happy to help you with the 109 series planes. Most find the hardest thing to learn is the gunnery and I agree with this, wish I knew how those muppets do it..... :noid

You need to learn throttle control and have to keep an eye on airspeed,it can be a busy plane at times but that just makes the kills that more satisfying!

BTW. thx Prevert for your kind words, just wish some would keep theirs in other forums.
