As a founding member of the Aces & 8's squad here in the AH community, I feel I can speak for the squad in saying " Get well CPTDell. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers." Dell is a great player and a very likeable entity within this community. It has been, and hopefully will continue to be for many more years, an honor to participate in Aces High with CPTDell.  :pray  :salute

Sincerely,
The Aces & 8's.

FLASH!! UPDATE:
CPTDell called late this afternoon and visited for some 15 minutes. Seems he also tried to get up and walk away from Critical Care at some point, fell, and sustained a head injury (possible concussion). He is alert enough to carry on a conversation, but this will certainly complicate his recovery. He was not totally coherant and his conversation strays from topic a bit. He was Very happy to hear of all your support, prayers, and well wishes. He is intent on his recovery and rehab. hoping to get back online asap and say Hi to all his friends on AH.

I Just visited with Mrs. Dell again. Seems she is faced with having Kenney go to a rehab facility or an assisted living facility. He is very confused and upset about losing his independence. I can relate to this first hand vis a vie what I had happen to me laast March (almost died). It seems Kenney is being very mean to his nurses and hospital staff. He sleeps a lot, and remains disoriented and babbles. His brain scans came back OK, but it is possible his medications are a contributing factor.
Mrs. Dell continues to appreciate the prayers and support. She is becoming frustrated, as I'm sure Kenney is. That is all!

As with all things the elderly bodies metabolize medications very slowly, with decreased liver & kidney functions all the garbage gets cleaned up & out slower. Anesthesia is the worst. I've had older folks who were sharp minded immediately before the surgery, who woke delirious, and stayed that way for weeks, with nothing more to blame than anesthesia.  :salute Hope he feels better...anger is very normal.

what a pleasure it always is anytime CPTDELL is around.  his unmistakable voice is missed..as is his presence here in the game.  I certainly want to express my desire and wishes that he's comfortable...and if possible..on the mend.

miss ya pal.
