Curious, why did who choose a 38?

Ok, but not near as satisfying as my mighty Spitfire.

Because there are two pilots who consistently beat my mighty Spitfire MK VIII in their P38J so I wanted to understand the aeroplane better.  Mercy and TwinBoom are unbeatable for me still - they are the only two P38 pilots remaining.   

I will dust off my stick, climb back in my 38 O Death get a few runs in and then there will be three  <S>

Bring it in November when my Spitfire is in the air again.  I doubt highly that you will win in a P38.  Just sayin...

I'll win with substantial frequency.  You may win a few.  Only TwinBoom and Mercy can beat me every single time making me feel like a cheap toy, but that will change soon enough -- hopefully.

don't focus on the names Midway,   you have to ask yourself the question HOW are just those 2 beating you? 

Of course the b38 cannot flat out turn your spitty that is just impossible!  so maybe they are just being really limp on the stick and throwing you a curve ball baiting you all the way up into the vertical and then reversing you in their stall.   If you find your Spitfire stalling out beneath them with no chance of a shot then you are only losing the energy fight. 

Make sure you have equal speed into the merge and don't let them trick you into thinking they are actually fighting.

He needs to figure out how?  It's simple -- they're fighting the 38's fight.

How do many of us lose to Spit variants?  We fight the Spit's fight.

Heck, I'll lose to a brand new player if he or she is in a Spit 8.  A Spit 8 should kill anything that turns with it, especially nose-low.  What can't a Spit 8 do well, besides absorb many rounds?

Lots of P38 pilots fight their type of fight and I win.  These are the only two pilots I can not beat, ever -- in a 1v1.  They are doing something I do not understand yet.  Something other P38 pilots don't do near as well and it is not roping me... It's something about how they roll and turn.
