Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. We got a funny guy over here. /sarcasm

"POG Tanker" - I actually find that remark kinda stupid. (I'm not a "tanker" btw). If you're talking about a box kicker or something, sure. It's kinda like insulting the motor T guys that drive us where we need to be when we're not kicking rocks on our own.

Last I was over playing and building sand castles I noticed tanks getting hit and doing their fair share of the boom boom (as we called it).

Oh and sweetheart, just for you; my MOS: 0331

Just because I can type and my sentences don't look "lyk dis wen I tahlk errr I uh mean tipe" (jeez that was difficult....) doesn't mean I'm not an 03.

NOW to be fair, I was not ORIGINALLY an 03. I was originally a 3112 (was TMO, then became DMO, and is now handled mostly by civilians). I deployed, somehow ended up on convoy security which lead to me working with some grunt units (my MOS was not needed, so if you had my MOS you just floated around and went where you wanted in the beginning), got hurt, came home, got put in a reserve unit and became a full time 0331 though I spend most of my time teaching the new joins how to break down, maintain etc. the 240, 249, .50 and MK19 we have in the armory.

Sorry to disappoint.

Yut/Urrrr. All that jazz.

How could you possibly know that?  All the video demonstrates is a COP maintaining control of an aggressive poser.  There is absolutely nothing on the video that is telling about the officer's follow up with the other parties involved.  Again, you make up a story to back up your victim mentality.  You continue to demonstrate a gross lack of credibility.

The video shows the cop attacking the victim before even considering to do the job he was assigned to do. Let me repeat: If any european cop would behave in this manner they would get prosecuted and fired instantly. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I saw the cop punching the victim who he came to assist lol!

No wonder trust to cops is record high down here and not so high down there.

Again, you make up a version based what you think you see.  The COP took the punk down to control him. You, I, nor anyone else can see exactly how it was accomplished because of the "soda straw" perspective of the video camera.

..and who cares how European COPs do it.  That has nothing to do with this video nor does much of anything in Europe set an example for the rest of the world.

The cop got in the soldiers face...  not the other way around.  You can see that.  The soldier even says it lol.  The cop should be prosecuted for doing this and probably will.  You keep defending your honor Mr. Cops are soooooo perfect.  He was in the wrong and you fail to see it.

I agree that the cop stepped up to the guy first. But if that had been me he was stepping up to I certainly would not have stepped forward myself. That kid acted like a punk. Judge Dredd would have blown the perp's head off for less...

Yeah maybe the biggest problem is that you folks have lost touch to reality and start to think a cartoon is a viable reference for behaviour...  :huh

If it were a finnish cop in this situation the following would have happened:

The cop would have talked to the guy with a pleasant and relaxed manner (as trained) to assure the victim he was in good hands and help him help the officer. He would have disregarded any complaints about being late and focused on his mission i.e. catching the perps. If the victim would have complained more they would have _asked_ him to stick to the subject and forward them to the point of interest. If the victim would continue to give them lip they probably would then _tell_ him to shut up and point them to the attackers. If that wouldn't work they would suggest that he could end up in jail for the remainder of the day also to clear his head.

It would require the victim to physically assault the police before they would begin to _restrict_ the assailant. Only as a last resort (meaning the attacker cant be restrained) physical use of force such as punching, pepper spraying or tazing are used. If the assailant lacks a deadly weapon no leathal force is allowed, even in a form of threat.

The cops down there seem to have some serious attitude/self confidence problems judging from the stories of tazing elderly people for not complying etc :)

When cops approach an assault victim the victim could be in a confused state as a result of concussion or even brain hemorrhaging. That may make him act agressive and the last thing you want to do is punch him more at this point!

Stereotypical Pog talking big for the corps, both services have them, example of army pog being the kid child in the video.

Cop is still wrong, he shouldn't escalate a situation.

If you cant find a little humour in me relating the situation to Judge Dredd then I should probably not comment in serious discussions

Id like to know what Aces highs Marine did in the corps....

Probably pog tanker or something....

Here's a picture of my son. He was a 14 Kilo or POG Tanker. Two tours in Iraq. He earned a purple heart both tours. First tour a shoulder wound. What happened to him in the second tour is obvious in the photo. You don't need a Globe an Anchor or a Tab to fight and bleed.
