My condolences to his family and friends.

My experiences with Ack Ack go back a long ways, all the way back my days in The Assassins squad.

He was very skilled in the P-38, someone I enjoyed flying with and fighting against.  He was always willing to offer tips when I would ask him about how be to be successful in the Lightning.  We talked about winging up, but it never worked out.

In my opinion, one of the greatest P-38 pilots in the history of this game.  I will always remember him as such.

No!  Ack ack was a great guy.  Going back to college and getting his degree on history of WWII.

SAPP will lived on with his amazing skills in the P-38.

Wow. This is quite a shocker. Even though Ack-ack and I had our differences and smacked each other around a bit, I respected his understanding of WW2 aircraft and Air Combat situations. We had a few down to the grit 1v1 fights and <S> each other after. I do consider him one of the best P38 pilots in AH and he wasn't afraid to get down n dirty in the 1v1. I am sorry to hear of his passing and send my best wishes to his family and close friends. Great fights ack-ack :salute

Very sorry to hear this, he was a Master in the 38, and it was always a little dream of mine to beat him 1 on 1, I never managed it though.

I thought it was going to happen once, I was high in my Hurri, and he was pretty slow on the deck in his 38, I knew it was him, as he'd just dispatched a fellow Bish, so I went diving down....

45 secs later he'd got my 6 and popped me, I could only laugh and send a <S>, a true Icon of this game.

Sorry for your loss Amy.  :salute

SIM let me know about this, I am absolutely heartbroken.  Truly one of the best people I have ever met in a game, what a sad loss.  My heart goes out to his entire family and very long line of friends.

Wow. Just wow. I go all the way back to AW too and AKAK has been a fixture in these games ever since. I've always admired his skills as a fellow P-38 zealote. Was always quick with some help when we all used CH stuff back in the day. Will absolutely miss him.
