Just to let you know the the USA team lost to Sweden and is now out. Looks good on them.
Didn’t they get smoked by 15 year olds a few years back

So the best women’s team can’t compete with some 15 year olds from Dallas?

They didn't actually lose, but they were eliminated.

The best part was Scankyhoe choked on a penalty kick.

Not a soccer fan, but I did watch the replay.

She said the high point of her career was getting 'equal' pay. This was a win for giving less value, but she skipped that part.

actually women's soccer brought more money than men's but got paid less.  getting paid more was really a highlight.

“ the federation takes a 10% cut of the total prize money that FIFA awards the U.S. for its finishes in the 2022 and 2023 World Cups and the other 90% is split evenly between the men's and women's teams. So the better each team performs, the more the players on both squads make.”

How equitable of them.

From what I gather, if let’s say “country a’s” both men and women’s team won the World Cup each team would be compensated roughly the same. I was trying to find out the revenue discrepancy between the men’s and women’s teams with out much success. In the US I would suspect the women’s team generates more revenue due the facts that soccer is or was considered an “feminine” sport and the women tend to perform better amongst their peers then the men.
