You can still get rides in a real f104 at kennedy space center from “starfighters”. Next time I’m up doing aero testing and the pilots come over to see the cars, i’ll try to ask if any have tried the f104 in a sim.

Go to the control settings, select your pitch, click axis tune, add a curve. Repeat for roll. Maybe a 15 for starters.
I add a LOT of curve for rudder... on everything. For the Stick I usually set to 15. That said, I don't think I'll ever get my head around the rudder. Doesn't matter what plane, it seems like it's way, way, way, too sensitive. I have no idea regarding real life, but it just doesn't feel right.
