This hurts game more than ykw ever did

This is the worst I've ever noticed it being at this time of the day.  This is what leads to a lot of quiet quitting.

On top of the usual swarming by bish, you have knits hitting rooks too. 

May as well just go to one side vs toolsheds.

Yeah, I really don't like forced team making, but this is ridiculous and not fair to the gameplay. I don't think it hurt the game more, tbh, I mean we lost 20k deaths over last year in Sept. But it does hurt the game. The huge maps on the weekends i definitely see lower #s in the morning/afternoon and it's like starring at a blank huge map with very little going on, which doesn't provide a whole lot of reason to roll.

I thought I would miss the MA. I don’t as of yet. Learning how to fight using different planes in Match Play is entertaining and even more fun when you can wing up with someone. The enemy planes are relentless. You can also change countries and fight each other along with the AI drones. It seems I make better use of my time there. Constant action if you want it and a great way to test different settings in game (convergence, no tracers…)or on your GPU,PC etc.

There are times when each side has numbers, and times when each side is the one being double teamed, but it's more impactful in the mornings (and sets the tone for the day) where in evenings there are still enough players to at least do things.

Morning numbers are so far off that it is unfixable. Problem here is that it is by player choice not a game issue.

Your choice is either to suffer high eny side and join the horde or forget about the map and enjoy getting some easy kills fighting them. I dont approve knights attacking rooks in those hours but you cant stop how people play.

I always say, hordes mean people are getting organized and having fun. It does not last forever as they seem to log off once cartoons come on  :devil
 Rooks and Knights just need to start recruiting.

Maybe some changes to ENY values might make it a little easier for the outnumbered sides.  Particularly on the GV side of things.

I personally think the whole planeset needs ENY reevaluation if ENY is what we are going to use as a balancing factor.

Unfortunately, with the country loyalty people generally display, I think most people would just log rather than switch.  Allegedly that's better than an imbalanced horde, but I think it's only barely.

Forced balance would likely improve gameplay the best, but country loyalty just won't allow that.

For some of us it's a very different game..

Have never gave a rats arse who "won" a map..

It has always been the a2a combat with the map/base capture stuff just a way to hopefully find such a fight..

Many times there just isn't one with these numbers, gameplay and map size

Many days Rooks have the same amount or more in the morning and they don’t fight Bish…

This very much comes across as blaming Knights for something Bishops are entirely responsible for.  :headscratch:

What incentive do Knights in this situation have to fly against the horde, yes if you’re careful and select specific targets (bombers, ord etc.) you can have limited success against this and if you stay away from Joker there’s some easier kills. That grew boring for me a few weeks ago, I’ll sleep in instead on days where I could be there.

In addition nearly every morning Capera logs in and ALWAYS hits Knight strats (AA usually) to help Bish.  :headscratch:

P.S.

YKW had zero effect on anything happening in the morning, this has been static for years.

He was much worse overall, ONE player caused significantly more strife than this does.

Agreed.  The hordes can be hard to stop but if they have a nasty eny then rolling a Tempest is usually good eats.

I think too much emphasis is put on mornings. Most players are working or school.

I think a lot of games that aren’t in their prime and many that are see the same.

The only time I cared about whole game play is when knits got ganged every weekend.

Other than that, I can either find fights or I can’t. Rarely do I not find a fight, but I usually only fly at night. Got stuffff to do during the day to free up my nights.

I don’t think morning numbers tell us as much status of the game as prime time.

I think what hurts the game more than anything is undue drama. YKW and his dramas did more damage. I think he was out to hurt it as much as possible, and did just that. We lost 30 in regular numbers in that time span. He reversed our numbers momentum, along with relentless sales of pretty planes, we all know who, that had same intension, then summer sucked some away. YKW and Pretty planes salesman worked hand and hand together on Discord, this is FACT.

Lets just hope we keep the game more inviting for winter numbers. We got two problems out of the way and winter is upon us.
