Hiya,after a few years in WB,,,mostly 2.77 FO arena,
about 20 of us just uprooted last week and have made AH our new home,,nothing against WB,,but 2.77 seems to be on its last legs and most of my buds cant play WB3,,,so hello AH

Learning as a squad has been a blast,,,u should hear our squad radio channel

Though our guys are more of a Jabo type unit,
we would love to hook up with you Drex or anyone else for some ACM work,,,and field capture strategy etc etc

we fly for Knights in MA,,but we also spend alot of time in TA killin each other :D

I need maps!    if anyone has a good link for strat/maps etc ,would  help alot

Peace

Cooley - I did as you did, about a year ago now. I couldn't get WB3 to work properly either, whereas AH was working within 20 minutes of download.    You'd think the WB guys would learn something from that, but no. They still think that theirs is the greatest sim, so great that it's worth spending weeks/months twiddling all the various settings to make it work.  As I said at the time, what chance is there of attracting new players to WB, when they can download AH (¼ of the size), and have a better game with good connections and proper customer support within minutes.

Hehe, Drex (or the BK's) is the last person to ask about field capture strat. :)

Gimme a hollar via email in profile here anytime, I'll help you out.  If you want to meet up with our squad sometime for some training, we'll be happy to do that as well.

These are very good field layout maps:

http://home14.inet.tele.dk/snefens/maps.html

Even the gun positions are identified in detail as to number and type (I bet alot don't know we have a 4x20mm AA gun).  They also print out nicely.

Drex.. you say when and it's a done deal.

I live on the Fork (deck hangs over it) so I have a few private spots that have decent fish (18-30")
actually the whole river is like that.. if you know the 'ropes'.

I've often given out the invitation for AHers to come ski/bike/fish whatever.. so just let me know if/when you wanna' make a road trip.

...and I'm just over the mountain from Wolf--course you'd have to fish the Arkansas, or the Platte, or the Taylor/East river.....not too much of a handicap, tho.... ;) Wlf, I may have to come over there this winter fer some skiin @ Snowmass (guests in-bound). Perhaps I can buy ya a beer or three.

Turbot, I haven't updated that map section for over a year. Only the headpositions and fuel charts is still updated when needed.
Since I returned to AH in July I don't think I have ever been killed by a just ONE hit of ai ack, even tho my maps state that there still are some of them being 37mm.
So either they were replaced by the quad 20's (but not graphically, since they still show as 37mm when looking closely), or they just can't hit for ....

Other than that the maps should still be valid, but I think Cooley was more looking for maps over factories ect. which I haven't done. I know someone have however.
