(35 seconds from double clicking the WWIIO desktop icon until you're at the selection screen? I'd have to see that to beleive it)

He probably has a special CRS watch with 2 hour hands and no minute hands and only 5 of the twelve hours on the dial (the rest of the hours will be implemented in version 6.5 of the watch). :D

ROFL, At least some of them are capable of enjoying self-irony (sp?)

From RickB's devlog:
"....Ah finally, "Can't Reboot Software", I was trying to think of a good acronym for this last night. My old favorite is still "Can't Right Software", though.

btw game load times are pretty fast now, earlier I could smoke a cig while waiting, now I can't even find that pack of Camels before game is loaded.

Hard you can get S-Vid -> Composite cables, they aren't to expensive. Most vid out cards with S-Vid only usually come with them.

Mighty1 you're soooo negative.

CRS continues to improve their product.

The next version will do a complete format.

The hubbub is dying down. Most ppl simply did a restore of the lost files. CRS may lose some customers, but the beta goes on.

This would be a good slogan for the whole WW2OL, payside included. Lol.

From the initial 20 000 there'll always be 1000 dummies who are too pigheaded to give up in time.

Wooo - finally got the thing downloaded - spent about 2 hours pressing the "log-in" button to get connection - FTP must have been quite BUSY!! Download overnight - tried offline practice this morning.

Not bad at all - FPS seem decent with improved visual quality (well, the Radeon 9700 Pro does help I guess - 16xaniso,4xFSAA). Flying part didn't change much but big improvement in the effects departement for the grunts!

All in all another big step ahead (along with the MAC version of course) - looking forward to make it onto the server - sometime... :)

Visual effects are nice. New grass and shrubbery textures aren't that great - look quite garish actually.

Gameplay still sucks.

Now the players are dummys and pig headed. Why do you think I am a dummy? Is it because I support something you don"t. Sorry but not everyone wants to join the rag on group. Enjoy where you are and I will enjoy where I am.

You do realize as ww2ol improves, it will continue to nibble at the player base of both wb and ah. Wonder what will happen when the flight sim portion becomes fun for the casual gamer? CRS ispaying their way at the moment. If it survives,  wonder what will happen.

BTW, that group you are so proud of that never came back and you are part of is also being nibble at.

I think the grass is a touch too bright green. The lighting in the beta is far from complete as is the T&L.

Time will tell.

C'mon, Hardcase, you had to know this would happen.

You spent over a week and nearly 500 posts in a thread telling everyone how they were wrong about WWIIOL and CRS. It got pretty ugly, too. Then, in one fell swoop, CRS cuts the legs out from under your argument and provides irrefutable proof of the prevailing point of view (regarding CRS). Sure, be proud of the community there, and I take nothing from them- if it wasn't for them that sim wouldn't have have the fixes and workarounds it has. But that IS the point, isn't it? CRS can't seem to get the even the simple things right. If Targetware has these problems it would be understandable, given the project is a combination of people in the community doing the work. CRS is a company only in the loosest terms; their quality control would be the death of any other product on the market. They are the Yugo of simulations.

I've said it before; just when you think they can't screw up any worse, they go and re-invent themselves and go one lower.
