Hey Rip, now that you Repubs have control of the government, why don't you *do* something with it?

Don't worry its what they're "not" going to do with it that should be your concern, no secrets will be given to China willingly, no "blowjobs while I should be working" will occur...Terrorists will be on the run, not simply shot at with a cruise missile, but actively hunted down...our own money will be mailed back to us in the form of IRS refund checks...and Iraq will not be the threat it once was in the Mideast. ;)

....and in the meantime, the old economy goes down the crapper, again.

IMHO, Jon Stewart covers the elections better than anyone else. He's hilarious.

Um, Mondo..... no dreams needed, mate. In case you didn't notice, the economy is already "bad".

Enjoy the four years, 'cause that's all GWB is going to have.

You do realize that the president has very little, if any effect on the economy, correct?

His actions may provoke a brief move in the equity markets one way or the other, but aside from that, the economy is simply following the business cycle, as it's done since the beginning.

The pace of our recovery depends upon the continued strength of consumer spending, which has been remarkable, growth in corporate earnings which is improving, and renewed investment by companies which has stalled.

Democrat or repulican, it really has no bearing on what the economy does.

You do realize this, right?

You do realize that plenty of people on this BBS blame Clinton for the current economy.

Franken's book was #20 on the bestseller list when I placed my order.  It's now #7.  WTG Fox, you idiots.

Well, if you're going to blame Clinton, then you have to blame Bush Sr., and Reagan, and Carter, Ford, Nixon....etc, etc.

It's a fact that most folks believe the president has a marked affect on the economy and this more than any other factor dictates their vote.

That "Economy" started going in the crapper in March 2000. Considering everyone was saying that the prices of stock (particularly the tech stocks) were over-valuated before the economic downturn, I'd say what we've gone thru is a stock market adjustment.

By the way, have you seen the economic numbers recently? Bad news for Democrats ;)
