Hey Med,
You got my respect and since I'm a knight, well, the fear thing will have to wait. (Although this thread got the ball rolling lol:D JK)
Seriously though, I used to be into the win the war thing before stuff like; the bish letting the rooks take their fields to prevent a reset by knights, (This goes back to when the Bish had all the numbers and the rooks numbers were even worse than the knights are now.) the all out numbers of one country over powering the numbers of the combined other two, the sameness of base captures over and over, are just some of the things that make your post, while completely valid and understood, kind of funny to me. No disrespect meant.
Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, I have passed the realm of
Win The War, Pound the Bases kind of a game, because it is just a game, for the pure competition of
Air To Air combat.
Now there are great pilots that fly to win the war, it's just that they have chosen the game side of the arena, while most of the time I choose the competition side. And yes the two types sometimes collied; i.e.; When a carrier feeding a great furball is sunk or like you have cited when we are getting steam rolled and everyone is just enjoying the fighting rather than give a crap about the war. But, to call it "pulling the same selfish and self centered bone headed stuff" is just a polite way of saying, the people that log in and just choose to fight are a bunch of Aholes:D. And, (in a the Church Lady voice) that’s just not nice, since the real question is...
WHERE THE F@#K IS THE OZ MAP:rofl
On another note...
Here is a good example of how small the BB community is - The other night I was on range with a fellow knight, I forget his name, I mentioned that I was excited about the Oz map. He replied, "What is the Oz map?" lolh. And no, he was not a noob.
