Yeah....... Things will happen from time to time.  No need to become distressed about it.  So you didnt get your 10kill landing message for everyone to see.  

Although Morph will repeadtedly deny it he is and always has been a stat builder/score potato.

Not that I have a problem with that.  He is an exceptional pilot.  I just find it amusing that someone would become upset over virtual kills

was the runway bombed heavily before you landed by carrier guns or lancasters?


because the actual runway can be destroyed though it is not shown graphically anymore for some reason.

I think it takes 150000lbs of bombs and the runways stays destroyed only a few minutes.

Yeah looking back on the event, it doesnt seem as "huge" as I had felt at the time. I am a filthy rotten score potato. So atleast it was a ditch. Had this been a capture I may have not slelpt last night. Although it was... hmm I think probably 4am I had gone out come back and should have just gone to bed lol. But had to fly for a few:D

Problem wasnt with losing the kills. (ok it was a ditch so kills weren't lost) Just the ditch part. I think lazer was in the same state of mind I was at the time because I could hear multiple beer cans opening up as things were smashing about the tower.

With all that being said u must admit I did a profound job at getting your attention on this bug  lol

Come on Morph..... you are a smart guy.  What do you really expect in return?  You come out and basicly say that you are bent cause no one got to see your 10kill sortie and expect sympathy?  A bit egotistical wouldnt you say?

I did that once,  i was engaged with a few guys from the 412th a year ago or so,  and i had gotten shot down by one of them....  After i got shot down i had the message "You have been Shot down by so and So"  and right after that i had the Kill message of "WT landed a few kills" etc...  It was really strange,  but i remember it was on the Ndisles map and hit the water before receiving the messages.

10 kills 2 kills 1 kill... Its all the same. What it boils down to is we got a ditch on our rw. Now fester brings up a good point that it could have been busted up and destroyed. But it looked fine. Also the runways that XJ got ditched on were perfectly fine.

I dont know how ranting over a ditch on the runway is pictured egotistical but thats neither here nor there.

The fact that it happend more than once to more than just me on several different cocasions enticed this post.

Lord knows there are better things in life to be upset about and this doesnt come close to qualifying as one of them. Tho the game does have a remarkable ability to get the better of one at times.

Nomak, its not about score whoring bro. WHen I go up I do everything I can to fly well put up a good fight and not die. I look forward to finding those "really good" fights and being able to fly away from them. Chortle and I had a pretty good one last night btw Chortle.

When i go up finding a good fight is my number 1 priority. Living is a distant second and score whoring is the last on my listing of things I wish to accomplish.

THis post was to address a problem and have it looked at (and sure, whine a little  in the process)

I've heard it in the past. That it is posible. Tho I never new what the results would be. I still don't know for sure that this is what caused the ditch last night. And it doesnt explain what caused others to get ditches on unscathed runways.

Lets put it this way. I have seen bombs bomb the living snot out of a feild. CVs gun a base for an hour at times and when it is captured and it is a total mess there has never been an instance like this.

This thread should have been put in the Bug forum. I appoligize and regret not putting it there.

Like I said it was not the kills I was ticked off about it was the fact we got a ditch after working to stay alive, take a base and land successfully like we should have. Tho some disagree at the importance of landing at all.

personaly, the coolest part of AH, apart form the actual fights, is landing your kills and being 'wtg'ed by your fellows. and if you have 10 kills to land and are denied then you have every right to be a little miffed. even more so if you were going to land a 'squad sycronised landing' type landing
I would be well pissed and probly wouldnt log on again for a whole 20 minutes after turning my PC off at the mains and throwing my mouse at the wall:D
