Ummm. yes?

What was the question?

(We can all only hope that things go half as well as they did the last time we had a Democrat running the show.)

I don't think there were any publicy announced threats. However, launching preemptive military strikes against North Korea's nuclear installations was considered prior to the 1994 agreement. The Clinton administration developed contingency plans for such attacks.

From what I've read so far, the US offer to the NK's was generated because the "regional partners" in the talks threatened to pull out if we didn't offer something right now. I support Bush's first position; let 'em starve, I don't care.

However, I think this move was clearly politically/election driven.

As for Nash's question, I'd do what I'm doing now. Read about the issues, make up my mind and write to my Reps as necessary.

let kerry screw things up for 4 or more years or untill the public gets wise and then a Republican can fix it in a couple of years and we can start all over.

I love that a "libertarian" is such a bush/rep shill.

Especially since you have to know that both these guys would **** your life just to get/stay in office.

Not saying you did Laz but in the event JK does win I suspect that this UBB's search function will get a good workout with people looking up phrases like "Unpatriotic", "Support the President", "Wartime President", "Aid to the enemy" and so on.

I wonder who will be labeled as the most hypocritcal poster here?

BTW, if you want to criticize JK, if he becomes President, by all means do so since it's your right. Just don't complain when someone exposes the hypocrisy.

lars... I don't believe I have called anyone unpatriotic either.   I agree with you that you should... no... it is your duty to criticize government.

I have however, pointed out that some of the criticism is pretty lame and hysterical.   I have also pointed out that those who seem the most critical are not even citizens of this country.   They of course would be... non-American?  Most are blatantly anti anything American too.

as for the question... I would buy the DVD set of all the past munster series shows in order to show my support.

As for anything specific... give me a specific and I will tell you yay or nay about the "rally behind" thing.

I was reading a similar thread (think it even has a similar thread title) and thinking the same thing.

Bush isn't my first choice for prez, but I'm inclined to vote for him because he isn't Kerry. Apparently the "ABB" syndrome works in reverse, and I feel like a buffoon for giving serious consideration to casting my vote for A because he isn't B. It's embarassing to admit it, honestly.

To answer your question: If Kerry wins, I'll back him up 100% (nevermind that I won't have a choice anyway). They say false motivation is better than no motivation.

They're the same guy with two separate Zurich accounts. :D

The difference for me is that once in a while Rush says something that I agree with or I can see some logic in. Moore..well..he's just Moore.

Right, which would be just like how the Neo's here on this BBS rallied behind Clinton before that .

Same thing, round and round. But I don't think I ever heard anyone here accuse anyone of being "unamerican" for their dissent.

As far as I'm concerned, the neo's invented this sort of political hate... and they are reaping what they've sowed. As far as so-called respect for the office, the neo's have trampled it. This level of vitriol didn't exist before Clinton. I'm afraid it's here to stay. Pretty sad.
