Ya know in June when the gardens growing great. But you have to go out there & spend hours pulling all those little weeds.

AH2 is so much better, they pull themselves out.

This is a good thing IMO. What we have left are people who can stick it out.

Me i plan on being the last one out the door when dale turns out the lights. 15 years from now. Anyone care to join me????

Saved me a post Ghost.

After 16 years of PC gaming all this drama is amusing.  When you've stayed up until 3:00am manually rearranging the autoexec.bat and config.sys files using himem to try and free that last 5k of low 640 memory in DOS to get Aces of the Pacific to load without a boot disk... well, perhaps some are more suited to the console gaming universe.

AH2 rocks so far, and it will only imrpove.

Dunno bout you guys but I actually miss some of that.
Setting it up with multiple configurations at boot up you could choose from for whatever game it was you wanted to play.
As frustrating as it was at time I actually had almost as much fun setting up my machine to run a game as I did actually playing it.
Sometimes more LOL

Had a blast setting up for "Strike Commander" which I found after all the air to air rockets were fired simulated  human flying habits in a dogfight better then most other sims

After riding the Kesmai rollcoaster anything HTC does is fine with me, I'll adapt. The nature of these games is change, complacent designers get left in the dust. HTC is doing what it has to do to remain viable and retain its market share long-term. There will be inevitable bumps along the way, but in the end we will have affordable, quality entertainment...Unless EA buys out HTC that is...

Ahhh... but when they can afford to upgrade enough to play, those little weeds are going putting you in a parachute. ;)

It could be a ***** to work around the limitations with that low 640. Once the memmangers came out that got a lot easier - ended up a QEMM fan myslef.

It was the last OS I really knew how to get dirty with and if you knew it, it was cleaner and easier to work with than any Windows OS. Delete  or add hardware an have a problem? A quick look at autoexec. or config would take care of it. No leftover registry crap 20 layers in to worry about. Want to change your directory organization -- just move the apps where you want them to go and change the bat file/menu text to reflect the change. I'm tempted to set up a nice DOS 6.22 box now :)

Oh yeah, I was the multi-config king, at one point I think I had 12-15 different ones to boot up in. Falcon 3.0 was the toughest since you needed 621k for some features (I forget what now). QEMM did rock, I still have a floppy (a 5 1/4 no less!) of it in my "archive".

I still have an old 486DX4-100 with DOS 6.22 on it loaded up with all those old games, AOTP, AW 1.13g, Red Baron, Falcon 3.0, Strike Eagle 2, Gunship 2000, and Tornado just for nostalgia's sake.
