I've also flown through a number of planes without either taking damage.  Something is different.

I was sure that I ran into some wreckage from a bogey I blew apart last night, yet I received no damage ???

I am not sure if maybe damage is not done by wreckage, just the main part of the plane?

Color me confused :(

Hmm,
if lag can make your plane miss mine by d100 and you don't see a colision in your FE but I see it in mine, then it could also be true that when I am on your six firing 20mm from d200 and see - oh lets say - 10 hit sprites and you don;t go down, its because your plane is not there right?
So, given the new gunnery model and the above senario, as long as you keep twisting and turning your plane someone on your six would never hit you - excluding lucky shots.  That could explain why I can take down a plane with a very short burst when he does not know I am there and all I can do is take an aleron off using 200 20mm rounds when the bud guy does see me and starts twisting and turning. Does enyone see a problem with that?

Yes yes I know.  This is the wrong thread and my gunnery sucks but since lag was mentioned . . .  just a thought.

Nope, hits are done the attackers FE then transmitted to the person you were shooting at.

I'm at the office so I can't check right now but... can't you check to see if collisions are on by looking at the arena setup on the clipboard?

I think way back long ago in AH1. You could view the MA settings But of course you couldnt manipulate them.. But they removed that option

In that case, it would be possible that the person I was shooting at would come back with a remark such as: "BS, that was an impossible shot" cause in his FE i was not where I was in my FE.  It could also explain why sometimes when I get too close to somebody, after shooting for a few secs and missing from d100, I see tracers go by only to see him behind me.  Then a sec latter he is in front d100 and explodes.  All that with 20ms to 30ms ping times.

Yeah, I'd only looked at it in the SEA.

Sik those are not the actual MA settings you are seeing.  Check fuel burnrate for example, it doesn't match MA setting of 2

The settings you see are the default settings should you start an H2H arena I think.

lol, that actually explains a lot. I was playing around in the SEA, and changed a few variables, but they didn't change in the display, I thought "I probably need to reboot the arena before they show up" but I bet that's not the case now.

Good to know, thanks.

Here's a film that XJ helped me make. It was really funny because we found it HARD to actually run into each other. By the end I was laughing so hard I was crying. :rofl

Anyway if you turn on trails you can clearly see (esp. on the first pass) that collisions are not working correctly... I emailed HT the film too, just wanted you guys to see what I've been talking about.

No Enemy Collisions
