Why isn't he talking about it more? I think it's because he'd rather not bore everyone to death.

I think you made Lizking's point for him.

If his record is not worth talking about then why is he running for President?

Their records are ALL we should be talking about. Not one or the others but BOTH!
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

Huh?

Junior/Senior doesn't have anything to do with how long you've served in the Senate.  Each state has two Senators. The senior Senator is the one that has served the longest of the two Senators for that state. Kennedy is the Sr. Senator.

As to why Kerry isn't talking up his prosecution career, who knows? It was a successful one. But he probably thinks people care more about what's going on today. Okay, well not all people, it seems.

I care about his record, and how it relates to what he will do.  If the best he has is that he will do things more better, then he isn't saying anything.

Nash,
He's not a junior Senator, and you should blame him for not leveraging his 20 years of experience in Senior Political circles.

On Letterman, he stated that Bush was handling the current Iraq situation all wrong...OK, I really can't argue with that.   So Letterman asks him what he would do different.  Kerry said I don't know.  I don't know what I'll find on Jan. 20th.  He sure knows what not to do though.  Plus, he's a senior senator on the intelligence committe.  He should know what he would see on Jan. 20th.

I'm not a Bush is my guy voter.  So don't go there with me on that.  But I'm damn dissapointed in how Kerry is going about this.  Not because I want Kerry, but because I want better than this for my choices!  This is the best these guys can do?  Cripes I'm pissed about that, I can tell you.

Also, his rank within the Mass Senate delegation is not what makes him senior.  It's his tenure in the Senate.  Because of his tenure he gets the good committee selections and seats.  And you are wrong, he does not think people care more about today, as evidenced by his whole focus on his service 30 years ago, yes, he helped keep that in the forefront.

Yeah, we get to choose either Bush or Kerry.

Like choosing what you'd like more, diarrhea or constipation.

Mighty - the record is there. Anyone can have a look-see.

Talking over and over about your twenty years in the senate is just not a good campaign strategy, however.

Ya see... He tried that. "I voted for it before I...."

What happened? He got trounced because of people's innability to understand the complexities of legislation. That if you REALLY wanted to get money to the troops, you shouldn't attach things to the bill which may kill it.

Same goes for every time legislation is drawn up - you can read into if from any one of 100 angles. Best just to let the record reflect where you stand, and talk about the issues concerning people right now.

nash... surely "100 topics" is a bit of a stretch?   admit it.... kerrie really is a pooh head... Bush isn't a whole lot better but he is predictable and will comprimise and he does get things done...

now... the real meat of the thing is... as an ameristalker and staunch socialist.... you like kerrie for nothing other than he is the most liberal socialist in the race.... These are the same reasons (as and actual American) that I dislike him.

other than that.... that, and the fact that I will be able to vote and you won't....

the rest is background noise.

No he isn't.

You're playing a semantics game here and you know it.

Plus, I lived in Mass. from '85 to '02.  I think I know about his senate situation a tad bit better than you.

nash... ok.. so we agree on "background noise"...  good start.

you would defend satan himself if you thought he would make America more liberal socialist..

I would defend satan himself if I thought he would keep us from being more liberal socialist.

in the end... I get to vote on it.... you don't.
