If an entity wanted to wipe out the population of an entire continent with a viral epidemic it would need to quarantine the subject continent first. Given the nature of modern travel the epidemic would be global rather quickly. The nobel laureate is a pinhead.

not the same thing red bottom... If the sadman had no weapons then he was the dumbest torturing tyrant ever... We attacked him because he supported terrorism and the world said he had WMD and he had em before and he threw out the inspectors and violated UN sanctions.

He had em before and had no moral problem using them... if the inspectors left he would have the oportunity to use em again. I don't doubt that he would do everything in his power to aquire and use them again given any chance to at all.

As I recall, it was about flu's death count nowadays, not in 1918 and the past century.
At least thats the way it was said..

"actually, the Flu kill more people than aids does" -> 'kill', not 'killed'.

Of course a such flu could resurface some day again, but so far not during the existance of AIDS.

Well europeans do have a genetic resistance to HIV, thanks to the plagues.

But I'd like to hear how in the hell she thinks that we had the technology in the 70s, and the money, and the motive to synthetically engineer a virus. Her answer would be entertaining.

Mutendo wegudo (dry soil where a baboon has urinated) is a traditional Zimbabwean recipe. A crushed stone called "wankie" is also utilized, reports the Oct. 23, 1998, World African Network, as are potions called chimhandara ("like a virgin" in Shona) and zvanamina ("taste me only" in Ndebele). Shredded newspapers, cotton, salt and detergents are also used.

Young, educated, urban lovers are slowly slipping away from dry sex, but even in the cities, the practice is retained by 50 percent who regard wet intercourse as a Western import that seeks to emasculate men. Overwhelmingly, dryness retains its deadly lock in rural areas, despite attempts by HIV/AIDS activists to save lives through education.

In 2001, the flu (and other lower respiratory tract infections) killed 3.8 million people year worldwide. HIV/AIDS killed 2.9 million (WHO statistics).

Heart attack (6.8 million) and stroke (5 million) were the only diseases that caused more death.

From where we again get to my original point of most of the flu casualties being elders or people with otherwise badly weakened immunity and/or strenght.

At least thats what I'd suspect.
