Sorry, I meant Thrawns quote, its ironic, because this madman that we removed had similiar feelings:

Quote
Saddam did not stop with looting a country; he also engaged in large-scale and wanton ruin of the environment. In perhaps the single most spectacular act of deliberate economic and environmental destruction in history, Iraqi military forces set fire to more than 1,100 oil wells in Kuwait at the end of the Gulf War in February 1991. These were not the acts of frantic or undisciplined troops, but a painstaking exercise in packing plastic explosives around the wellheads, wiring them to central detonating units, and piling sandbags to direct the force of the blast inward to increase the destructive effect.

After the well fires were extinguished with an extraordinary international effort that lasted months, experts estimated that the burning oil wells spewed more than 5,000 tons of soot, 1 million to 2 million tons of carbon dioxide, 9,000 tons of sulfur dioxide, and an undetermined amount of toxic chemicals into the atmosphere. Black rains were reported in Turkey, and black snow fell in the foothills of the Himalaya Mountains.

Saddam did not stop with oil fires, but deliberately opened pipelines that dumped between 4 million and 11 million barrels of oil into the waters of the Gulf, making it by far the largest single discharge of oil into the sea ever recorded. The result was an oil slick 40 kilometers long and 12 kilometers wide. The oil coated more than 1,300 kilometers of shoreline in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and killed between 15,000 and 30,000 seabirds. The oil devastated other marine life, especially turtle populations. The long-term damage to the ecology of the Gulf region is still being monitored today.

Following his defeat in the Gulf War, Saddam's forces suppressed uprisings in the Kurdish north and the predominately Shi'a south with extreme brutality marked by imprisonment, disappearances, and mass executions. North and south, Iraqi reprisals led to the destruction of homes and buildings, including mosques, and the razing of entire villages.

What's even more funny is that Bush said the same thing except replace, "We saw the bravery of rescuers grow with danger.", with "I will explode the sun and kill us all."

Madman?  Immoral yes, but I don't think he was a psychopath.  And quite honestly I don't think you would want him to be insane either.  Do you really want his defense agrueing deminished capacity?

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Great...linking Freerepublic now Rip....

Maybe I should post links to FR threads that would surley embarrass the Bushbots here, there's lots of them to choose from on FR.

Now I see where you get all your cut n' pasties...pathetic, realy.

I can't wait for the meltdown at FR on Nov. 3rd....or 4th, or 5th...whenever this thing is settled.

Hey Zip, this would have been a better option IMO: Read the email and see the pic :)

Some of you know my Bush sign was stolen Saturday night by some liberal Kerry lover. Ticked me off on Sunday when I noticed it was gone. It was a collectors edition from the 2000 election. My plan for revenge.

Since they always seem to steal them at night, I put piles of presents from my two 135 pound Malamutes in front of my new sign. I can't wait till they steal this sign and get half way down the road in their car before they smell the sweetness from my little puppies. Checkout the pictures.

The trap is ready.  Look closely for the doggie presents.

Zip, I think you should pass on the razor blades. Really.

Side note: Back in my kids' teenage years, my yard was getting "farmed" by other kids. I fixed it several times but after some deep ruts on a rainsoaked lawn I called the cops, because we were pretty sure who it was.

Cops wouldn't pursue the lead. However, they DID suggest "lawn obstacles" of various sorts that would flatten tires. With the inop car as evidence, they could act.

They said I had to be sure the obstacles were well on to my property, at least 10 feet from the sidewalk and that I had better only have them out at hours when the public wouldn't be out. Like midnight to 0600.

This was suggested by our Police Department.

Kinda sounds like RPM's "booby trap" though, doesn't it?

Not really Toad, something intended to safely disable a vehicle is not something intentionally made to injure or kill someone.

Giant concrete blocks shrouded by bushes - not exactly sure how that is intended to safely disable a vehicle. Now something like the police departments spike strips, that's designed to safely disable a vehicle.

Razor blades on a sign, obviously intended to harm someone.

Naw.. Not really. Flat tires and attempting to slice a person open with well placed razor blades are not so close...

Obvious?  I wouldn’t say obvious.  I have them hid pretty well.

But yes, they are intended to break skin.

1 full day and night… sign still up, haven’t hooked a fish yet.

actually... you jogged my memory a bit w/ that.  Seems to me the guy that did the steel pipes in the bushes WAS convicted because it was on the edge of his lawn, and not 10' back, or something along those lines.
