Typical NeoCom.

Excessive force is not excusable. Commiting a felony assault to stop a misdemeanor criminal mischief. Use a lock instead.

I hope this is a joke.

If not I hope the kid that is permanently maimed by your idiocy sues you for all you're worth and then moves into your house.

There you go.  Rationalizing criminal behavior again.

I should be able to do whatever I want to anything I own on my property.  If you get hurt stealing it, that's your problem.

It's surely not a felony assault.  NeoComs love criminals.

FYI, umbrella policies and homeowner's liability insurance often don't cover gross negligence, which in MI is defined as disregard for the natural consequences of your actions -- such as having intent.  So don't rely on any insurance to cover your lawyer bills and the resulting civil lawsuit.

Still hoping this is a big "LOL it was a expurimint   :aok " post.

Zip

Just fix it so the sharp edges just barely stick out (by barely I mean enough to only cause those annoying little cuts you don't know you have until way later).

This way, hopefully, they take the sign... and don't realize the damage until later, which is more annoying than painful.  And.... YOU get to deny it was your sign.

Stealing is "reasonable", though?

Let me walk you thru this slow enough you can understand.

booby trap
n. a device set up to be triggered to harm or kill anyone entering the trap, such as a shotgun which will go off if a room is entered, or dynamite which will explode if the ignition key on an auto is turned. If a person sets up such a trap to protect his/her property, he/she will be liable for any injury or death even to an unwanted intruder such as a burglar. Setting a booby trap to even protect one's property is a crime.

Got that? OK, we'll move on to step two.

IC 35-47.5-5-10
Deploying a booby trap
Sec. 10. A person who knowingly or intentionally deploys a booby trap commits a Class D felony.
As added by P.L.123-2002, SEC.50.

Hmmmm.  I have yet to see where it says placing razors on your front yard is a felony.

Still looking, NeoCom??

Martlet, your position, re: illegally booby trapping your property is quite amusing, in light of your opinion in the parapalegic pot smoker thread.  I guess you do believe it's OK to break some laws, but not OK to break others...just depends on which ones you agree with.  You're quite simply full of chit, but that's not much of a suprise.
