laz,my uncle had a .303 when he was a kid those things are accurcate he could hit a can about 300 yrds out,and its just not my uncle that its good its the gun:D

M44, 91/30 Tula (round) and a 91/30 Izhevsk (hex). Pry should take some pictures as I liked seeing a few posted here.

I'd really like to get some of the famous WWII rifles that have a ton of history, but for now, am waiting for my curios and relics to get back, as these laws kinda suck, and I don't want to $25 background check myself to death picking them up one at a time. Not to mention most I want are pricey compared to these awesome Nagants.

Rumor is Aztec is getting a shipment of SVT 40's, and one of those ought to set me back enough till I get the license. Plus, I then can run through the 700 rounds of Czechoslovakia silver tip in a big way before I order more ammo, and then know what to buy in 30-06 and 8mm. Kinda partial to the K31’s as well, althought the ammo isn't cheap. Still going to get one.

I thought my C&R would save me money too

Before the license I had 2. In the last 2 years since the license, well you see the pics. Its an addiction, and one I love. I stopped some of my investments so I could buy guns instead, still investing just a different way. It took less than 30 days for the ATF to get my C&R to me. Good luck Creamo and have fun!

Yeah, I'm so busted, but it sounded good!

No worse than shooting bows. Used to spend lotsa money on carbon arrows, (till I understood good 2117's were just as deadly, although not as cool and stayed in targets) range fees, 8 hours a day up a tree stand, and even more time firing 100's of arrows a day in the back yard into $125 Mekenzie targets that wore out. And I had 5 of them. Actually, these rifles could be way worse. It takes weekends full of message board and website browsing just to understand what you have. Then you start disassembling the bolts, cleaning, reassembling, and just looking at them like a tard. Just can’t help it. This is pry not a good thing, but I love it. Can’t wait to buy more.

patrone... I would say that the 303 was the least accurate of the rounds discussed... The 308 was never a WWII round but... the WWII 98 beiong discussed has been rechambered for 308 and so I was answering the question in the context of that group of rifles.

I would also say that the 98k in 8mm mauser and the ought six in either the 03 or Garrand were about tied for most accurate of WWII with the 7mm jap rifles being about the least accurate of WWII.

I am curious tho. How do you manage to keep so many full auto guns in your home? Are they all legal and.... can you transport and shoot them anywhere you like so long as it is safe? At a friends ranch or land for instance?

The Permit for the Machineguns are only for "collection". They are all legal. Yet full working.
To shoot theese guns, I have to have a permit for every time I want to use each and one of them. They can not be full assambeled during transport.

The storage of the Guns have to be larmed and with a separate line to local police station. And the safety has to be qulified to keep atleast 70,000$ in cash (security class 3 safety I have a security class 5 wich allows the storage of 2 million$ in cash.)

And No one can apply for "full auto" permits as collectors item that did´nt already posses one prior to 2000.
From last year, not even a dealer can have a "full-auto" in stock at his shop, if it has not been sold or ordered by a customer with a prior permit.

The police will pay you 100$ for your auto, if you fail to get the correct storage (see above) and destroy it.

Right now, its kinda "Full auto" bonanza.

1000$ for a full working mg 42, with grasshopper stand, extra barrels and spares, etc, etc. I really think I paid most for the Grasshopper in that lot.

best deal yet: I traded a "recoiless grenaderifle" m/42 for a 1919 a4, a Ksp m/36, a Ksp m/42 and the Akan m/45 (acka: M2 .50 browning). I might have to tell you that the price of the recoilles m/42 was 70$ when I bought it 1998.

I have other permits for my other, modern full-autos, but thats another story. Still the storage rules are the same

geeze... that sounds like a lot more trouble than it is worth.... I thought we had it bad..

So basicly... you have to be very well off and get permission and then.... they are not really your guns.... you are just keeping them until your government wants to take em away from you? You can't throw one in the old El Camino and go out to your friends house in the country and shoot up an old washing machine or jackrabbit?

No, not with the ones that are restricted as "collectebles". But thats not the only ones that I have permited. I can take out the G3 or MP 5, FNC, take them to the range for a shootingsession.

As we have slightly diffrent laws on people entering in and out of land "all peoples right to enter anyones land", it would be hazardus to shoot fullautos just anywhere.

And, yes, I have to complie with the rules about keeping guns. I guess you are lucky that can just shut your eyes to any law issued by your goverment.

Example: A drunk driving, or just being Drunk in public can jeapordize all my permits.

What does drunk driving have to do with owning guns? Waht do you mean by no new permits after 2000? you mean no one else can get a permit? Why is that? Why can't you just go to a friends land or your own land and, if it is out of the city limits, shoot at whatever you want so long as you aren't endangering anyone or bothering anyone?

airumba... what do you mean not at your house? Don't you own em? If you own em then you should damn well be able to keep em at your house. If you are not allowed to then In my opinion.... they are not your guns... you are leasing them from the state. The state will tell you what you can do with em down to the last detail.

No, really, I do not see why a person owning "destructive devices" could´nt be drunk and driving....You are really naive if you can not see the danger of being drunk driving a car.
If you could´nt be trusted driving, how could you be trusted owning a gun? Yet a full auto?
Guess that FBI does not check anyone that has class 3 weapons in USA? Just free for anyone to walk in and buy, in any store?
No matter what kind of "record" they had?

No one gets any new permits from year 2000, for full autos, for collection, that didnt own atleast one prior to this year.
You may be granted permit for targetshooting, if you are a top-ranked shooter and a member of a shootingsociety that are conducting competitions in "fullauto".
Same rules apply to handguns, pistols, revolvers, if you are not a active shooter for a period of 5 years, shooting "Gold" (3 series of 5 shoots 25 yards time:3 min. making atleast 46 in each, 3 series of 5 shoots in 30 sec. hitting all shoots withing the "7") you lose your permit.

I could take my guns to shoot the way you are describing, no problem at all. But I do not do it.
I would have to fence or mark out a great big area, to make sure noone didnt just walk in while shooting.
Even on the Shootingrange, people just come walking in at the targetstands, even if it is fenced in and signs are up.

I take shooting seriously, its not like a game of "Golf".

I don't drink but... using your logic... someone caught drunk in public shouldn't be trusted to have a car or drivers licence either eh?

Anoyone can apply for a class 3 here if they are a citizen and not a felon or insane. It is not that expensive. Any working class guy can afford a full auto if he can afford to even insure his car and... that is the way it should be. I am sure that those who didn't have a permit before 2000 and now want one feel that they are free because YOU are allowed to shoot (so long as you can afford it and no new laws are passed)

I take guns seriously too... I take sex seriously too but... I don't see any point in doing either if it isn't fun.

I have a 1944 BSA No. 4 Mk 1 Enfield. Paid $115 for it all matching (stamped), 1944 barrel with a shiny, strong bore. Stock is pretty good, with some arsenal repairs.

It was rearsenaled at Ishapore India at some point, since it has that screw they run through the stock for grenade launching and a heavy coat of locomotive type paint slopped on the metal. I plan on removing that (since it practically comes off on its own and obscures most of the markings). Probably 70 percent original finish or better under it though. It will be great shooting it once the weather clears and I can find an appropriate rifle range. Probably at least an hour drive each way from the People's Republic of Cook County (PRCC)

Creamo, my next purchase (maybe today) is likely one of the Finnish M-39s over at Wholesale Guns and Ammo. Supposed to be great shooters with great history and fairly rare for the current prices. I guess a new shipment is in at Tennessee Guns or one of the other importers, and its being talked up as the "last of the bunch" with prices to follow accordingly. Still, they are talking 13,000 rifles...
